I like it. If I’m not mistaken, there used to be an Adam & Eve location here. Never got to visit it. Now that it’s a ‘Velvet Taco’ location I’ve visited this location twice maybe 3 times. I noticed they have ‘bowls’ now; there’s this “Tikka” bowl that I’d really like to try out. Note, for family oriented grown ups that are looking to bring y’all’s kids, wife and/or husband I wouldn’t really bring them to this precise location as it’s a fairly ample space to stop by with a work friend or two yet it doesn’t give me the “sit around and hang out with family type of vibe” regardless I’d take my mother here, and maybe a small family of four and that’s ‘max’. If you have a party of 6-8 people you’d probably be the center of attention, and I’m speaking about ‘the family’.
Now the food, tacos, are ok they’re a 8 out of 10 some are a 10/10. What I get the hit of is that ‘Velvet Taco’ is going into more of a multicultural approach, which isn’t bad per say its just that the way the restaurants are set up they’re not intended to be fast food joints and well if they go in that route it’ll probably fall short, I do love being proven “wrong” because then my dreams come true. It’s some foreshadowing.
Personally I recommend the stake taco. It’s the taco for the person that orders ‘medium rare’ at a date spot. Medium rare is always the way to go. Now I’m not stating the stake taco here is medium rare or that that’s the way it’s prepare just, give it a try that’s all I’m saying. A heads up, these tacos are ‘fusion-based-tacos’ nothing about this restaurant screams “ ‘MEXICAN’ “ except for my self.
Two more of my top picks are The ‘Spicy Tikka’ and the ‘Waffle’. So I’m not a picky person with their menu, since I’ve tried most of the tacos they have to offer I’ll state that you can’t really go wrong with what you choose, just look at the ingredients. There’s a TACO that comes with blue cheese, blue cheese, I know you’re freaking out and you want to try it. All I can say is do it, do it, go get yourself a fusion-taco.
Disclaimer: I personally believe that the creator/s of this franchise might’ve been high on life… that’s my belief. And I’m not trying to infringe on anyone’s beliefs.
They should have velvet cake at this location too.
Add on: Do not judge this restaurant on my words or my actions, as they are a separate business entity and I’m am not payed nor monetizing by them. Just yet…
Love the restaurant,...
Read moreWe’ve heard some good things about this place. This being our first time, we had high expectations. I ordered the Chimmicurri Beef Tacos, my wife have the Cuban Pork and my kids had quesadillas. We also ordered the queso blanco. It was all r pretty good!
I’ll be honest, I was impressed my kids ate all of their quesadillas. It was a perfect size for them.
The vibe was pretty chill and we were comfortable. They have rolls of paper towels at the table making it convenient to clean up my kids messes quickly without having to get up.
I took my son to the bathroom and there is a code you need to punch in to get in them. Both have the same code (1597*). It could change by the time you read this but who knows.
The restrooms were pretty disgusting and the toilets didn’t flush well.
I went to tell one of the staff members and she surprisingly brushed me off. This is one of the few encounters I had with her as she was the cashier taking our order. I never caught her name but, to respectfully describe her, she was pretty short, heavy set and light colored eyes.
She was rude to all of us customers from lack of acknowledgment of our orders to tossing us the kids menu rather than handing it to us.
I thought I heard my name when she called through the speaker system and when I asked her if she happened to call my name, she made a face and said “no” with an attitude.
I didn’t say much and walked away until our order was called. I’ll say, we got our food pretty quick.
Overall, we enjoyed the food and atmosphere but will consider another location as we didn’t appreciate the woman’s interaction with all the customers today. Chalk it up to her having a bad day but that still no excuse to treat people that way.
Lastly, we spent $50 on 3 tacos, 2 quesadillas, a queso blanco, two drinks and a 15% tip.
Hope this...
Read moreWe were uncertain about what to anticipate from this establishment. We are delighted that we decided to visit, as we were welcomed with a warm greeting, and all the menu options are clearly displayed for your consideration. Offering a variety of choices, including tacos, burrito bowls, guacamole, elote, and beverages for both children and adults, everything was simply perfect. We selected two bowls, one being the veggie bowl and the other the steak bowl. Both were exceptionally delicious, meticulously prepared, and made with the freshest ingredients. The combination of flavors was truly remarkable. All the ingredients harmonized beautifully, enhancing the overall experience of the dishes. We also ordered their elote guacamole, and we were pleasantly surprised by how flavorful it was, especially when paired with their purple chips. They distinguish themselves from their competitors through their excellent customer service, fresh food, a clean and well-organized environment, and the most welcoming smiles. Their beers were also enjoyable, whether on tap or bottled, served ice cold for your refreshment. We highly recommend visiting this team of professionals, led by Kai, the manager. The experience was so enjoyable that we will certainly return and recommend this place to our friends and family. This is an excellent place to dine while remaining mindful of one's budget. The portions are generous, making them ideal for sharing with a friend or loved one. We encourage you to support their business; they...
