We have never been to the Reef until Saturday the 29th, my wife was able To call in and schedule a party. Kenzie helped her book the private room for her best friends 50th birthday, the room holds up to 30 people, it was so nice to be able to have an area where we could all move around and visit with everyone. My wife discussed with her about the details on how she wanted everyone to arrive before us, And how when we showed up we wanted it to be tina party of three. Walking in, the blown glass theme up the stairs and through out the restaurant is gorgeous. The restaurant allows for children to be there. Anyways Kenzie walked us back to the room and the surprise party was a complete success, if it wasn’t for Kenzie and staff this party wouldn’t have been as good. Our waiter was Kobe, he was incredible as well. Friendly, fast paced and just an amazing waiter to put up with our crazy shenanigans. The drinks and food were so very good, we will definitely be back for sure! We were even able to bring our custom birthday cake, 5 dozen roses, presents and party horns. We will definitely need to schedule more parties there! I was so beyond happy the surprise party went off without one single problem, and like I said the staff were all so incredible and friendly!!! 100/10- if you’re trying to decide if you should go there —— DOOOOO IT! If I had any complaints it would be, don’t order the jalepeno margarita if you don’t like pickled jalapeños, I really don’t like anything pickled but my body really really enjoyed it, said it wasn’t too spicy, so it’s good, just as long as you like pickled. But seriously that’s just a personal preference thing, when I told Kobe it helped me find a better drink and my gosh the huckleberry mojito is so damn good!! Birthday girl and a signature cocktail, it is not for the light at heart - prepare for a good buzz after that…

Went here for my 30th birthday. There were 15 of us and we had reserved 2 tables in the back room. The ambiance and vibe were really fun but honestly the food and drinks were a disappointment. One notable exception was the special that night, a lobster roll with truffle fries. The fries were 2 star imo and the roll was rather dry, but the lobster meat itself was delicious. Tender, no fishy old lobster taste, and moist. Some apps were ok but the food in general was lacking. The drnks: I'm very careful when I order cocktails and I know what I like but both my drinks sucked. Mai Tai & level 3 Hurricane both literally tasted like that sour fake margarita mix. Both disgusting. Coco Killer was weak but yummy, bloody Mary was good, suicide barbie was a "group" drink and it was pretty good. I appreciate they comped my grandpa's steak because they overcooked it but we will not be back. Staff was nice but we did have to wait a long time for our order.

For a summer evening out for dinner and drinks, the Reef's tiki Rooftop lounge in downtown Boise is the place to be one would think. But not sure if it is worth it with the parking and just for one stop for the night. The Reef offers a great happy hour until 6pm for drinks and a really good deal on appetizers! Although it's hot on the Rooftop that time of day, there are shaded areas. The concrete table tops make it durable for weather but too hot to touch and melted our drinks quickly. Service was so so, friendly but not terribly responsive and it wasn't that busy. Pretty par for Boise dining unfortunately. The Rooftop has its own music and only the live music performances can be heard inside (a cooler place to be in more than one way...lol) Will have to try it again later in the evening next time and bounce around downtown more.

Been here one time. We will definitely be back. Service was great and they accommodated our constant changing list of people who kept joining us! 😂. Drinks were good. The pineapple mai thai is tasty, as is the zombie. Food is good, seemed a bit salty across the board and i like my salt but not marking down for this because it could have been a lot of things. Will verify next trip. Had the combo app platter (mondu poopu platter), the Rangoons (yum), and the sushi roll of the night which was really good. Nachos were disappointing they just had way too thick of a cheese layer which made them heavy and hard to eat. YMMV Overall worth a stop in. Outside patio is awesome, decor and atmosphere is awesome

We went for dinner at the Reef in Boise. We sat outside in the Tiki area. The table were really close together. Our waitress was nice. We ordered a appetizer and drinks. It took awhile to come. Infact, our dinner and appetizer came out at once. The food was good and the drinks too. It was hard to have a conversation with the music being alittle loud. Over all, everything was above average and yes, we will come back.

The food was great! Come here if you want to go to the tropics without leaving Idaho! It’s very cute in here, tiki bar and all. Great options from American style food - burgers and fries, to more island inspired food as well - calamari, shrimp, etc. The nachos can definitely feed 4 people! Way too much for just the two of us. Overall, it was a great change in scenery for our date night!
