DO NOT GO HERE!
It makes me sad to leave this review but feel it is necessary. I have been going to Crackers for over 12 years and occasionally (and I mean maybe a handful of times) used Groupon and Living Social Coupons/Ticket purchases to attend. Apparently they have changed their policy and fine print to say that the Living Social coupons are for “new customers only”. This isn’t something you put in tiny fine print but clearly on the advertisement you place on Living Social or Groupon.
Now, even when the woman told me this I wasn’t mean, angry, or defensive but simply stated that I have purchased and used Groupon and Living Social tickets in the past and never seen this in the fine print before. She was extremely rude and kept saying, “you know what, I’m going to honor your voucher but you need to learn to read the fine print. Do you understand me? I’m going against my own policy and giving this courteous to you”. She said this 4 times and very harshly.
I planned on thanking her but didn’t want to interrupt her as she spoke. She then proceeded to say, “now you need to thank me for doing this for you since you can’t take the time to read the fine print”. That was my final straw with her rudeness and this is CLEARLY not worth my time or additional money.
I couldn’t believe how rude she was being simple because I was surprised by the change. I ALSO COULDN’T BELIEVE THIS WAS THE OWNER!
I didn’t ask her to honor it, I was simply explaining that I was surprised to hear this when I have never had this issue before or had this in any previous Living Social and/or Groupon purchase before.
I very kindly stated to her, “ma’am you can cancel my reservation. I will not be coming to Crackers”. She then said, “no, I have you down for tomorrow. We will see you tomorrow”. I then repeated myself and said, “no, you will not see me tomorrow. Please remove my name from the reservation for tomorrow night”. I couldn’t believe the entitlement and demanding behavior of her that I will “now attend” and will not cancel my reservation.
If a company is going to treat paying attendees that have been customers for years like that, I do not wish to continue to give such company my time, money, or support. I have encouraged and gotten groups of individuals to come here, and recommended it to out-of-towners as a great place for wonderful entertainment, good drinks, and a great experience. I will no longer do any of that.
I would rather lose the $10 I paid for the Living Social than ever return to this place again due to the woman’s rudeness and thoughts/presentation that she can control my behavior and what I will/will not do. You have officially lost any of my business and I will not be recommending Crackers to others. There are a thousand other enjoyable things a person can do in Indy, and being treated terrible isn’t one I will ever be interested in...
Read moreI may not have been to many comedy clubs, but I was thoroughly disappointed in visiting Crackers. After good reviews and decent recommendations, I was met with horrible customer service, condescending management and ridiculous claims at upholding policy to validate how my group and I was treated.
For those who are curious; Groupon took a hit and refunded ticket money due to the club's website not being specific about performance dates. Supposedly having a 'policy' stating 24 hour advance reservation booking is imposed on purchases made 30 hours prior. After being rudely ushered aside and told to wait until those who have tickets are seated, a 40 minute wait ensued without a word to us. A woman named Ruth Anne not only belittled my friend for an error on both parties, but continually made condescending comments making matters worse. After waiting, and seeing a party of 8 excuse themselves and demand a refund for being split up, our party of 4 were split up on complete opposite sides of the club. The acts, that we got to actually see, were pretty good. I just wish they understood how their audience members were treated prior to their performances.
Last, but MOST importantly. It is UNACCEPTABLE to repremand staff for ANY reason in the midst of customers or staff in any place other than an office setting. There is ablosutely no exception.
I hope some customer service tactics are placed in light of this situation, and a true set of"policies" are actually instilled. If not, I would guess the business is going to suffer in the end.

Read moreThis was only my second visit to Cracker's and I've only been to 3 other comedy clubs so take this for what it's worth. This was an experience from January, 2019. The tables are very close inside the building, I was maybe 6 inches from the table to my left and felt like I was riding in the backseat of a motorcycle with the person in front of me; so close my knees were under the coat hanging off the back of their seat. There is a 2 drink minimum, which I hear is standard but makes the place seem cheap. Just up the price of the ticket and do away with the mandatory drinks, don't force someone to buy something they don't want.
We had a table of 4. The opener came and went and so did the first listed comedian. We watched as the wait staff hit all the tables around us but never actually games to ours. The second comedian was about 5 minutes into their set and we began to worry as drinks and food came out everywhere. We thought we would be charged for not getting any drinks so one of our party went to find someone, missing part of the show. The waitress came by and asked which table we were, where are drinks were and why we hadn't said anything before. She then left without taking our orders. Another waitress came and finally took them. We received them without only minutes left in the set and had each had to shoot 2 drinks because there was a later show starting moments after ours ended.
It wasn't a great experience. The comedians were good but the place was tight, dark and kinda dirty. The drinks were very expensive for what you get too, not...
