Michelin-Style Customer Service, Served From the Heart
If there were Michelin stars for ice cream parlors, Howdy’s Homemade Ice Cream would undoubtedly earn its constellation. This is no ordinary ice cream shop; it’s a beacon of joy and inclusivity in a competitive field.
From the moment you step inside, you’re greeted with not just a smile, but a level of warmth that makes you feel like family. The staff are genuinely caring, and the customer service is second to none. But what truly sets Howdy’s apart is its mission: they provide meaningful employment opportunities to individuals with disabilities, creating a space where everyone can shine and contribute.
Each scoop of their delicious homemade ice cream comes with a side of heart. The flavors are as delightful and varied as the team that serves them, and every visit leaves you not only with a sweet treat but with the feeling that you’ve supported something truly special.
In a world where customer service can often feel impersonal, Howdy’s Homemade Ice Cream stands out as a true gem, blending wonderful flavors with a wonderful purpose. It’s a place I wholeheartedly recommend to anyone looking for a treat that tastes good...

First - good, creamy, rich ice cream. The Dr Pepper flavor is a unique one, quite tasty, and the cold brew one is very very good. I got cookie monster becasue I like cookies. Ice cream base was thick, creamy, and great. Chunks were small, but a good ratio, and the price/value was absurdly good.
The people are fantastic. Cheery, bright, just lovely. It was a very kind atmosphere and quite helpful. I probably overtipped but don't care. Great people.
The mission is good. The hiring mission is just another great reason to come here.

Read moreGreat experience all around!! The way the place is decorated is so cute. The lady taking care of us was incredibly warm, kind, informative, attentive, and hospitable. The way she spoke to me and my 16-year-old son made us feel so welcomed and happy to be there. The homemade ice cream was so flavorful and delicious. She was so patient with us while we tasted different flavors. I tried the Cold Brew and the Strawberry Lemonade Sorbet, and both were Amazing! Listening to Gladys Knight playing softly in the background while eating the best ice cream I've had in a long time was so comforting and nostalgic for me. It's probably a good thing I don't live closer to the downtown area because I would definitely visit this place more than I should! 👀😋😁 The entire experience was memorable, and I look forward to...
