I have been visiting this establishment over the last 5 weeks. I can assure you that it is only because of it's convenient location right before I-65 North. Over the last 5 weeks, they have had a sign up on the door that says, "The lobby is open for kiosk orders and mobile app orders only.". Yet, for the last 5 weeks, the door is always locked. I have waited in their drive thru for 25 minutes just to get to the speaker. Then it will take another 20 minutes to make it to my food to leave. Yesterday I didn't have time for this. The line was wrapped around their building from the food window out to Southport Road! So again, I tried to go inside. The door was locked. This is no surprise to me because it has been locked for the last 5 weeks. I called the location from the parking lot and asked for a manager. She never gave me her name, but assured me she was a manager. I asked her why the inside wasn't open and she told me it was locked because they were short staffed. Not because of Covid-19 or any other precautions. Short staffed! I immediately informed her that the doors have been locked over the last 5 weeks. With that same sign posted on the door. After a brief moment of silence, the lady just continued to repeat herself. Just saying that they are short staffed. So I informed her that I would contact the Corporate Office about the situation. She just said, "OK!". As if she didn't care at all. So I left this establishment UPSET, HUNGRY, WITH NO RESOLUTION, AND NO FOOD!!! This is ridiculous! This was hands down one of the worst experiences that I have ever had! I think it's about time that this place received some new management! I would have given 0 stars, but there is not an option!!!
Update 6/17/2021: I called their Corporate Office on 6/14/21 and they assured me that someone from management would reach out to me within 72 hours concerning this matter. I received no phone call or email. I contacted the Corporate Office today to let them know that no one reached out to me. Obviously management at this store has better things to do with their time besides talk to customers who have had bad experiences with their establishment!
Update 6/22/21: I received a response from the General Manager of this location today. She emailed me. Instead of having the decency to call. This, in my opinion, is absolute poor customer service on her part. It started off as if it were an apology. As I kept reading, it was more of excuse after excuse. I will attach a screenshot of the email. This definitely explains why the expectations of this establishment are so low! I will never step foot on this location again. I will take my business down the street. I suggest you do the same and save yourself some...
Read moreMy family was coming home from an unexpected evening trip to Indy and needed a quick bite. We didn't have a lot of time so McD's fit the bill. I don't like leaving negative reviews but this place certainly earned it tonight. Started out great, we walked in, someone took our order quickly and competently. The area was sufficiently clean and a gentleman was mopping the floor nearby with soapy water. All was well. That was the end of the positive experiences. I proceeded to wait 15 minutes to get a pretty typical order. Well it included a fish sandwich, and I wouldn't want that sitting around, so ok. While waiting I went for some ketchup from the dispensers - both empty. Again, end of the day and they've run out so ok. I'll ask for packets when my food arrives. Well, it took so long I forgot. Back at the table with our food, wife realizes she forgot to ask for mustard. I remember the ketchup and go up to ask for both. All employees are buzzing around the drive thru. I'm number 2 in line to ask a question. The lady in front of me is verbally asking for help and the staff either can't hear her or maybe they are ignoring her. I can't tell yet, but I'm starting to not be impressed with this location. She finally catches someone and even though I'm right behind her looking right at the employee, they rush off after fulfilling the lady's request. So now I'm waiting at the counter. No one ever looks over. I'm trying to let them work but sheesh. I'm there maybe 5 minutes when my wife comes up and says she'll get it and I should go eat. I glance over and see wife still trying to get someone's attention. I'm finished with my meal now and she finally comes back. No mustard. Said no one ever talked to her. Even the manager/shift manager walked right by her after taking an order and wouldn't even look at her. She was up there over 10 minutes and couldn't get service. Read moreBreakfast time: 1] Fastest service of any McD locations 2] Service and food had been nearly perfect for a couple of decades, until now 3] Breakfast food is fast, but quality is spotty. Someday's you'll receive a perfect Bacon/egg/cheese bagel, and sometimes you'll get a bagel that is completely black burnt - leaving you in shock that anyone would have the audacity to place that in a wrapper and send it out.
Dinner time/after hours: 1] 8pm-10pm can be VERY popular on some evenings, and backed-up from time to time. 2] They do great processing orders correctly.....food quality, and items ordered/customized by consumer, are correct most of the time. I've got to give them props for that.
ALL McD's,[not just this location] after 9pm, have a frustratingly limited menu...such as:
CONSUMER: "I'd like to order a large coffee, a large vanilla Cappucino, an icecream cone, a pie, a happy meal, a chocolate shake and a dr. pepper"
At nearly all locations you'll here after 9pm from McD's staff: " Sorry, but ..........
COFFFEE: we have no coffee made; you'll need to wait while it brews CAPPUCINO we have our cappucino machine down for the night ICECREAM CONE: we have our icecream machine down for the night PIE: we don't have any pies left HAPPY MEAL: we don't have any toys left CHOCOLATE SHAKE: we have our shake machine down for the night DR.PEPPER: we dont have dr. pepper [BUT IT IS PICTURED ON EVERY MC.D'S OUTDOOR MENU...
