Penn Station East Coast Subs — Restaurant in Jackson Township

The two ladies working went above and beyond to make our subs the way we wanted them and provided us with the best service a person could ask for. I explained to them that I have trouble eating due to my bottom dentures being new. They took the time to chop my Philly Steak and Cheese, peppers, mushrooms, and other ingredients up into small pieces and even cut my sandwich up into bite-size chunks so that I had no trouble eating my sub. I can't remember their names, but it was the two ladies working at the time and day posted on this review on Google Maps. The food was great also, great flavor and fresh add-ons at a very reasonable price. Fries are fresh cut and made right in front of you (the sub was also), and they are delicious. Normally this particular branch is fairly good at getting to your order in a timely manner. I have been there frequently over the years, and only had a handful of long waits. Today however was the longest wait I had ever seen. Over thirty minutes passed since I ordered a sandwich, of which there was only one person ahead of me (who got their sub), and mine still hadn't even been put on bread to be passed through the toaster oven. There was no ice in the ice machine, a person being trained at the same time, and the crew of three trying to deal with a family of twenty trying to order at once. The food was great -especially the fries, but the customer service was horrible. My husband and I have never been there before and didn’t know how to order/ where to go. We walked back an forth along the prep line unsure of where to go. None of the employees were helpful until we asked what to do. There were maybe 4 other customers total in the store, all taken care of (had their food) and our food took 15 minutes- around 5pm aka dinner time. Shortly before leaving, a large line started to form and there was constant yelling by an employee- who I’m assuming was the shift manager screaming “long line, everyone to the front, and the line is to the door” repeatedly.
