KAY Jewelers — Local services in Jackson Township

I would go to another location over this jewelers. My fiance and I went in December (after he had gotten it brand new) to get my ring resized down. I was in between doing a 5 or a 4 1/2. The person working told me we could do a 5 and then if it’s too big, then it would easily be able to resize it.

When we went a few weeks later, I told them the 5 was slipping and I wanted to take it down to the 4 1/2. All of sudden I was told that they couldn’t resize it because I would most likely lose stones. They said to give it the weekend and they would get in contact with the vendor to see if they could special make the lower size.

We waited almost a week with no reply. We called them and they just made us feel like we were at a loss and there was nothing they could do. The guy on the phone started laughing at us and I felt mocked.

I went to another location to get a second opinion, and they told me they would NEVER tell anybody that they couldn’t resize it, but they would let the jeweler see if it would be safe to do so. I got my ring back and it’s the correct size and it never lost any stones.

Makes me furious because Grove City was just giving me the run around and they didn’t care. And they never got back to me after “waiting to hear back from the vendor”. But I’m really glad the Tuttle location took care of us and...

I had tons of trouble trying to order a very special gift for my gf through the company's website for a special occasion, but from the moment I walked into the Grove City KAY Jewelers store, the Store Manager, Becky, immediately intervened after hearing of my ordeal and got everything sorted out with my order within minutes, like it was a breeze! Becky was extremely helpful, knowledgeable, kind, and supportive. She easily resolved my frustrations and has made me a loyal customer to this location for as long as she is the manager there. I don't know why I didn't just visit this store in the first place, but I will most certainly be coming back often! If I were her DM, I would seriously give her an award certificate and a raise! I only rated this place one star because I had to. The staff were nice. The two rings I picked out cost almost $10,000. I had to send them out to be sized. The rings did not come back when promised. They were out for almost 3 weeks. His ring came back and it was still not the right size. The ring had to be sent back again. Unfortunately I decided not to get married and wanted to return the rings. They told me that I was out of the 30 day window for a the full money back guarantee ,even though they had my rings in their possession for the first 30 days. They had the nerve to tell me that I could exchange them but will have to exchange up to $10,000. I have had the ring in my possession for less than three weeks. How can they count from the purchase date when they still had the rings? This is bad for business. They apologized but their apology falls short. $10,000.00 short.
