Buffalo Wild Wings — Restaurant in Jacksonville

Usually love BWWs, but this was a very bad experience. We waited in line 10 minutes before anyone even showed up to seat us. Some people in front of us even left. They didn’t seem to care that anyone was seated. We then had to wait awhile till our server showed up. We knew what we wanted so we placed our whole order before waiting for our drinks. We had 4 adults and a 16mo old. We asked if we could get the child’s food as soon as possible. It took 40 minutes before the child’s food arrived. Then, a chicken wrap was delivered. This person wanted to wait for the rest of us to get our food before eating. Awhile later, one order of fries that was supposed to go with wings, was delivered. The child finished his meal, the guest with the wrap decided to start eating, and the fries were consumed. Finally, the wings were delivered! The child is well behaved but getting restless. We’re still waiting on one more order. This process is spanning 2 hours. We wanted to order more food for the toddler but were concerned that it would take too much time. Our server told us she would go in and make it herself if she had to. It was only Mac and Cheese. My husband had still not gotten his meal and said he would just get it to go. The order of Mac and Cheese came out. Then finally, our last order of chicken strips arrived. We told my husband to go ahead and eat since the child was still eating. We ended up taking half the strips and wings to go. The restaurant was not even that busy. I don’t know about the bar side, but over the span of more than 2 hours, I never saw anyone go to the bar side. I consistently saw lines of people waiting to be seated, no hostess attending them, and many people left. I gave 4 stars for food because the food was good. But, 2 stars for service because the process of serving one item at a time as it was ready, was RIDICULOUS! We didn’t blame the server, it was obviously a problem with the kitchen. Management had to be aware that something was wrong and should have been more responsive to their customers. I could see other tables were also having issues. We were discounted 15%, but I don’t think that was enough for the kind of service that was provided. We will not return to...

I have been disappointed several times by this BWW. My family and another family came here on a Sunday after church several months ago and they actually turned us away saying that they were not properly staffed. On 4/9/2020 I ordered and paid through the app at about 6:40pm. I put in for pickup at 7:20. Got there at 7:10 and there was a long line out the door. Got in line, called at 7:30 (still in line outside) to see if my order was done so I could just go in and grab it. Was told it would be another 10 minutes before it was ready. Finally got inside about 7:45, and didn't get my food until almost 8. Got home not even 15 minutes later, realized I didn't get the fries and everything was room temperature, onion rings and fried pickles were completely soggy and all the chicken was dry. It was by far the most disappointing take out I have ever eaten.

Update 10/27/2024 Decided to give BWW another try after a couple years. Our party of three walked in on a Sunday afternoon, and the restaurant hadn't filled up with the Sunday/football crowd yet. We took a table in the bar area, and it took about 5 minutes for a waitress to come by. She got our drink and appetizer order and disappeared - and this was the pattern for the next two hours. We waited an hour for only half of our order to come out and only one of us got ONE refill on our drinks the entire time. We asked for boxes after receiving PART of the rest of our order, only to be greeted by the so-called manager of this sorry excuse of a BWW. We never asked to speak to the manager - we just expressed our frustration with having to wait two hours for a partial order and that we needed the rest of our food to go. The manager then has the audacity to say, IN THE MIDDLE OF THE DINING AREA, "If they don't pay for it, they don't take it!" Up to that point, we were going to pay our check, take our food and get out of there. Confronted with that level of unprofessionalism from the manager, we up and left - hungry and thirsty. By that time, the whole restaurant was full, and barely anyone had food OR drinks. They need a new manager before she runs that place...

Between Yelp and Google, I’m seeing a lot of negative reviews over the past several months. This is my first time at this particular location.

I was immediately disappointed upon arrival. When greeted by the hostess, I asked about getting a seat outside. I was quickly informed that outdoor seating was unavailable because “it is too hot for the wait staff to work outside”. Excuse me? It is 90F outside, and I was more than willing to sit outside. I’ve worked food and bev before. Not working outside if seating was provided, was never an option. I’ve also worked various farm, and hardware jobs that required work outside, despite the heat.

I do wind up sitting at a table near the bar. While I was sitting I was constantly pestered by fruit flies, and flies. It may sound silly to complain about; considering I wanted to sit outside. But that is expected outside.

Lastly, the bartender who was tending hi-top tables must have been nearing the end of her shift. I only kept to myself, and never asked her to go out of her way to put an order in, or ask for a drink. Instead of being asked if there was anything else I would like, I get a check. It seems to me, she would like to clock out and leave as quickly as possible.

All in all, this was my least enjoyable experience at a BWW. And I will never be returning. Having looked at a lot of reviews between both Yelp or Google over the past several months, it looks like there have been more negative reviews than positive, which can only mean that management is not doing an adequate job of maintaining a staff in good working order. How can someone so incompetent still have a job in management?

I had planned on staying for quite a while, and continuing to order, but instead I will never come back.

I do not recommend anyone ever use this...
