1. I’ve been to this cafe a few times, the ambience and coffee are great. Leaving a poor review because of a rude short blonde barista (who doesn’t give her name out) with a nose piercing who messed up my order more than once and when I confronted her, she rudely and LOUDLY argued that what she prepared was what I had asked for. She did not even offer to fix my order and just started talking to a coworker and completely ignored me. This happened in the evening on a weekday. I wonder how she’s not fired yet despite her complete lack of manners and extremely poor customer service.

2. I love this cafe chain and the Hoboken one is really nice and their coffee is wonderful. But this Newport one needs to fix its management. There’s a short blonde barista who needs to learn to do her job properly. She didn’t wait for me to finish my order and kept talking to other workers at the cafe instead of taking my order. She also didn’t answer any of my questions about the menu items. The other baristas were great though and took the time to politely and patiently explain their menu offerings and point out what I should try when I asked for recommendations. The blonde one will reduce this cafe’s customer base to half for sure since she’s so bad...

bwè kafe has been my go-to coffee shop in the Newport area since we moved to the nearby Ellipse building a couple years ago. The quality of the coffee here is simply top-notch. Whether you're a seasoned coffee connoisseur or just looking for a satisfying cup, bwè delivers on taste, aroma, and consistency.

Avocado toast was decent, albeit lacking a tiny bit more salt. Huge portion. Poached eggs were good. Matcha latte was also good. They asked for sweetened or unsweetened, which I appreciated.

Service was 3 ⭐, not because it was bad, but was just a tad slow. Based on Google maps, this was one of only 2-3 cafes within a 0.5 mile walking radius of where I was staying temporarily -- the other was star bucks -- and with good reviews, so it was not surprising that it was fairly busy. This was 9am on a June Saturday, and the cafe was probably 80% filled, but there was only one line to order. I believe they have a single order intake machine. So the line was at least 5 people long the whole 30 minutes I was there, and people probably had to stand in line for up to 10 minutes. At one point, there were 2 or maybe even 3 baby strollers in the cafe, and 4-5 little kids.

Point is, it seems to be a popular shop, perhaps owing in part to the lack of many other options in the area, so, as a customer, you should be prepared to wait and also embrace the...
