I had lunch on the go here, and was so impressed, I told my husband to get us dinner from this place. Confident he'd love it as much as I did, and not willing to share, I asked him to get two ramen orders, two rice bowls, the pork rolls, and some dumplings!

Well they did not disappoint!

I used to go to Ipuddo in the Village NYC for what I thought was the best ramen in the tristate area. But my oh my, at MUCH lower prizes, this place's broths (ramen) are extremely flavorful! I had the miso ramen and it was everything I had ever read an authentic miso ramen should taste like. My husband had the tonkotsu ramen and it was also very tasty- but if you're looking for a strong umami taste, have the miso ramen and order extra noodles- THEY'LL SEND YOU EXTRA FREE BROTH IF YOU DO, and God knows you'll want it.

I was thinking about moving further north but I'm reconsidering after finding this place- their dumplings, gyoza, pan fried made me wish I had ordered 3 servings of it, and the soy sauce they served with it had so many layers to it, i could not believe I thought I'd had real good soy sauce in the past- there were so many layers of flavors to theirs. Tasted like it had dark rum, but it was salty and sweet- It also reminded me of seaweed. It's probably imported and what real soy sauce should probably taste like because the stuff I buy at the supermarket now tastes watery and very bland!

I'd give this place 50 stars if I could, best ramen I've ever had, and I've had ramen from every fancy and every simple ramen place in NYC!

Their rice bowls, although a bit low in the rice, are also noteworthy. I had the chicken teriyaki bowl and was surprised with the amount of fresh vegetables in it! There was also enough chicken for leftovers! Gingery, sesame infused, sweet chicken on pearly and perfectly cooked rice and a marinated...

Stopped here for lunch with some coworkers. Lunch rush wasn't ridiculously packed like we were expecting which is nice. Service was super fast. Don't know what's going on back there but they were cranking out ramen bowls rapid fire. I got the spicy karakuchi ramen and some gyoza. Asked for slightly less spicy to start and let me tell you that was basically 0 spicy. I got just a regular bowl apparently by going with level 1 spice. The highest you can go is level 3 spice but I'm definitely asking for more heat next time. Food came out quick. Bowls are definitely larger than they look. The bowls come with veggies like spinach that you wouldn't normally expect in a ramen bowl but I still found it good. Broth was a bit thin for a tonkatsu broth but it was still quite flavorful and didn't feel overly salty. Noodles were just alright. They claim to be made I'm house but j have my doubts. The broth makes up for it though. We all agreed that the gyoza was delicious. Some pieces were a little under fried but still really good. Plus honestly the pricing was not overly terrible. Especially in such a metropolitan office area I was expecting some big price inflation but it wasn't too bad. Overall I would definitely come back for a...

in response to Raksha Raj; your attitude was absolutely deplorable. not only did she call the store after hours asking for a refund but she gave me, a simple employee who made her well aware that I am not able nor allowed to hand out refunds via phone especially after store hours, the most disrespect and demanding attitude ever. those who eat at our restaurant knows good and well that our Miso Ramen, whether veggie or regular, comes with TOO much vegetables at times. I apologized for her being inconvenienced by this and offered her her rightful refund tomorrow being as though the store was already closed and I cannot give out refunds via phone. Only for her to give me a nasty attitude and DEMAND that I give her a refund. I respectfully asked her not to speak to me in such a manner but she refused and continued to be disrespectful towards me. Future Customers and all viewers of these reviews please do not allow this woman to discourage you as she’s being very dishonest and vengeful in her review and left out a lot of important moments that occurred in our interaction! Stay safe everyone in these uncertain times! Wear your mask! and keep your...

I actually really like Menya for their Japanese menu- specifically their rice bowls for takeout. They’ve always hit the spot for me! But the other day, I went with family to try out their new Korean menu, since we’re really fond of Korean cuisine. If I’m being honest- it was expensive for what we got. I ordered a set with Bulgogi and Kimchi Stew, and my brother got LA Galbi. We got a side of fried dumplings for apps. Unfortunately, it fell short of our expectations. My bulgogi was overpowered by sesame oil, and the jiggae was of the same taste as a store bought sauce packet. Even my brother who loves stew but can’t handle spice said it was bland. The dumplings were fine but 6 pieces for that price is basically a rip. However the galbi and the rest of the dishes came out on sizzling platters, and clay pots, that made the experience feel a little better in addition to the decor. But for the quality of the Korean Menu, you would definitely find a better taste elsewhere. If you’re going to Menya, definitely order from their Japanese Menu instead.

Surprisingly good. I've tried menya sandaime when I lived in Korea and wasnt a big fan, but having lived in Japan and also tried different ramen here, I can say that menya sandaime is quite authentic. I believe the chain is korean, but the taste is definitely proper. The prices are also quite good for the area, with rice bowls just around $10.50 and ramen starting at $11.50 Decoration is cool! It makes you feel like you're in Japan. The seating with tatami mat on top is also a very nice touch. Part of the restaurant in JC seems to be taken as storage currently during covid, but other than that it's great. It's also kind of self-service right now, you order at the counter, pickup your food when you get called, and return the tray and bowls to a certain area. I'm not sure if this was different precovid at this location.
