I thought that going to this ice rink to skate would be an upgrade from where we usually go. Oh, how wrong we were. First, the ice was so bumpy and when I commented this to the staff and they said they had just resurfaced the ice while I was inline to pay and pick up my skates. This was an obvious lie as we had just gotten there and people were skating the whole time. I asked if they could come out and check it out and while they said they would, it took them close to half hour before the guy I was complaining to came out. He went on the ice himself, walking, with his sneakers on. I was rather confused as to why he would even go out on the ice without skates; you really can't tell how ice is with just your shoes. After which he told us, "it was fine ice". The ice was not fine.
After all of this and explaining to him that I'm not a beginner and know what good ice is, I tried incurring for a refund. He refused stating that on the wristband you get when you pay says there are no refunds. Being over his bull crap, we returned the skates and left. We looked at both of the wrist bands and there wasn't a lick of anything about refunds. It was only a waiver for them to not be sued because of falls, etc.
Do yourself a favor and don't bother with this place to skate. The ice was so horrendous, bumpy, and even had a pothole (which I almost planted face forward thanks to it). The skates were dull as well and for the price you pay to skate and rent, you're better off going to a rink across the river which is just as expensive.
It was a huge waste of our...

Read moreThis is a review for the semi private lessons offered at this location:
I’m extremely happy with last week’s coach for my son and brought a 10-pack class pass afterwords. However, we were offered a different coach today and it was not meeting our expectations at all. The coach today obviously has not worked with young children for at least a while, if ever. He did not engage the kids, and did not play any games to teach them skills. For the 30 minutes mostly he did was dragging them on ice back and forth. And even during these dragging steps, the coach did not have the sense to stand in the direction of incoming traffic, resulting in several falls because kids were disrupted by other skaters. It was a painfully dull 30 minutes class for both the students and the parents watching. We skated on our own after the class and watched the same coach teaching another class, and the quality of his teaching was sadly very consistent. When I brought this issue to the staff inside, I was advised to “go to a different ice rink”. And that is what I want to suggest to all parents reading this review. Don’t buy the...
