Ollama is just what Kansas City has needed. In my travels, national and international, I happen upon unique, specialized coffee shops and I revel in the quintessential experience. It's high time for Kansas City to get something like this. It's a place for those born and raised in Hispanic culture to order items we grew up with; and it's a place for people who weren't to explore something new. You're not going to find a latte here. No pink drinks, no a frappes. But you will find a balanced coffee, tea or Mexican chocolate drink, warm and iced options. If you just want to dip your toe into the new experience, go for the house specialty, Cafè de Olla. Parking is street parking. Pandemic guidelines were followed.

My wife and I just moved to downtown KC from Newport Beach, California & we are so thankful to have discovered this hidden gem! I was blown away by how beautifully the owner decorated the inside of the intimate coffee shop, how delicious the coffee was, and how incredibly wonderful she was to us both! There are definitely a lot of wonderful spots in the city, but this place now holds a special place in my heart and I will frequent this spot often! PS: I apologize I didn’t include a picture of my coffee, I couldn’t help myself from finishing it before I took these pictures - it was the most delicious coffee I ever had! “La Tia Rosa” is the name on their menu.

I was a little intimidated by the options here, unsure if I could get any typical coffeeshop favorites. But the menu encouraged me and my husband to try something new and we were glad we did! Also, the staff member did partially spill my drink on me, but only because the cup was very full and he was bringing it to us. He was extremely apologetic, gave me a towel to clean up, and gave my husband a free drink when he went up to order a full size of something he had tried in the flight. Only negative was that it’s a very small space and I felt like we were in the way with our stroller.

Seemed cramped from photos and it was, no privacy of conversation, my friend's head was almost touching another person's sitting behind us waiting for their order.

Got a huge 24oz Mami Gloria with no size options for $7, bit much for 2 shots of espresso and coca cola. I didn't need it that large and I didn't end up finishing it. No lid given with drink (yes, it has foam, but after foam goes down I want to be able to carry the drink or at least have some spill protection).

No restroom for customers, which is a bad combination with 24oz of caffeine. I realize it's been hot so A/C is struggling, but it was also still air that made us intermittently sweaty and anxious. A ceiling fan would be a welcome addition. I don't go to coffee shops usually, but would prefer a cozier atmosphere and smaller drink options to entice returning there. I wouldn't go there again and only recommend getting a...
