Stepping into Casual Animal Brewery feels less like entering a brewery and more like discovering an urban oasis. From the moment you walk through the doors, you're enveloped in the warmest, most inviting vibes imaginable. They've absolutely nailed the atmosphere, transforming what could be a typical industrial space into something truly special.
The interior design is nothing short of lush. The high warehouse rafters are not just a testament to the building's origins, but they're masterfully utilized to create a sense of grandeur, with light pouring in from above, illuminating a verdant canopy of extensive plants. It's an incredible visual, creating a natural, almost serene backdrop for enjoying some truly fantastic brews. The combination of industrial chic, botanical beauty, and abundant natural light makes for an incredibly comfortable and aesthetically pleasing environment.
And then, there's the beer. Oh, the beer! Casual Animal is truly pushing the boundaries of craft brewing. Every pour I sampled was exceptional, but I have to highlight their experimental IPA. It was an absolute revelation – incredibly crisp and refreshing, with a complex hop profile that danced on the palate without being overwhelming. It's a testament to their brewing prowess and willingness to innovate. Beyond the IPA, their entire tap list showcased an impressive range and quality, with something to delight every beer lover.
Finally, the service is the cherry on top. The staff at Casual Animal are incredibly hospitable, welcoming, and knowledgeable. They're genuinely passionate about their craft and eager to share that enthusiasm with their patrons. Whether you're a seasoned beer connoisseur or new to the craft beer scene, you'll feel right at home and well taken care of.
Casual Animal Brewery isn't just a place to grab a beer; it's an experience. It's a place where incredible beer, unparalleled atmosphere, and genuine hospitality converge to create something truly magical. Read moreWe went to a fair amount of bars and breweries and this was by far our favorite.
The beer was great tasting, cheap, and unique. We had the hazy and peanut butter stout and both had great flavor. The peanut butter stout sounds overwhelmingly flavorful but it ended up having more of a subtle peanut butter taste that worked well. The hazy had a nice tropical citrus taste to it with a bit of hop aftertaste.
The atmosphere though was the best part: well designed, great natural/artificial lighting, open, and comfortable. The room had huge ceilings lined with plants and wood furniture everywhere. The tables were spaced out fairly well so you never felt to cramped and the couches we picked were really comfortable. This sounds like a weird compliment, but the music was at a great volume as well. (I say that because too many places blast music and you need to shout over it to even talk to each other. Either that or it is too quiet and you can’t hear it well).
Some bars and breweries have gimmicks to them and theirs was Yahtzee. I’d you give them a dollar and roll 5 dice, if you get Yahtzee in your first roll you get all the money in the jar (minus $50, which is an important note they didn’t tell us. It didn’t make that big of a difference since we didn’t win but it would have been the difference between $30 and $80 for us which would have probably changed our mind on if we wanted to try it). Either way it is a fun game that is interesting. I believe you get something for four in a row and maybe even three as well.
Overall, a great place to grab a beer and hang out...
Read moreNothings cooler than craft beers…and apparently not showing up to appointments, like the one where I walk in to the building on a Monday, as I walk in I notice a “Closed Mondays” sign, a great sign when you’re there to sell a company a product that their employees are literally asking for. I call, it rings, and I hear the ring of the businesses phone, expecting someone to pick up, which doesn’t occur, instead forcing me to leave a vmail that I was able to enter the building on their day of rest that someone still decided to ghost me on, then when I hear back via email after explaining they left their business doors open night and day since their last close it is to let me know they don’t care about how I was inconvenienced or their audacity to schedule a meeting on their day off with or without considering my time as equally as important…without an apology, and their...
