Gambal's Social Club — Restaurant in Kansas City

This place is a lot of fun, but also what you make it. Very much a dive bar, and very welcoming. The drinks were a little pricey, though.

The Connect Four was really nostalgic. I played the game with my boyfriend, and a "champion" who apparently watches people play to see how they are then asked if he could play against us. He won, of course, but it was nice that he asked. Another group played right after us, and also invited us to play with them.

We then played pool and gained several friends during an impromptu tournament. It was such a great night with new people. If you aren't social, that's okay! But, if you aren't open minded and ready to engage with people, then this isn't the right spot for you.

The staff could be friendlier, but the people make up for that gap. I haven't tried the food, but it's probably also overpriced. Lots of fun rather you're alone or...

I think it's the best bar experience you're going to get in Kansas City. They have 2 pool tables, a dartboard, a pop-a-shot basketball game, skee ball machine, giant Jenga, giant Connect Four, and several other arcade games. It was like Up-Down before there was an up-down. They have two bars, the second of which is only open on the weekend. They have a kitchen that's open late with a decent menu that's reasonably priced. They have two sessions of free poker every week on Monday starting at 7 p.m. They have a DJ with music Bingo every Thursday. $2 tall boys on Tuesday. And other cool stuff I'm unaware of I'm sure. The place is called Gambles for a reason don’t waste your money here, in the end I wouldn’t care to have someone serve me at this place most of the bar tenders are money hungry and if you don’t tip or care to order anything pricey then they will just make up anything to get you banned which is stupid they have all these cameras here that shows that I am not at fault or have done anything to make anybody uncomfortable so I don’t care if I can’t come back or not this place is better...
