A nice Lebanese Cafe in midtown, with a modern flare and some old fashioned touches.
We received service that was above and beyond. They checked on us at least twice before we had both decided what to order and went out of their way to make sure that we were taken care of promptly the rest of our visit.
You have to drive up a ramp into one of those raised parking lots you will find around. They are the main building straight to the back.
They have a nice deck on the back. The inside feels modern and nicely decorated, but with a touch of a 1950's diner - the kitchen is in the middle and surrounded by a bar top you can choose to sit at instead of the tables.
We had their Muhammara dip with pita, pleasant sweet, nutty, with pomegranate nibs and walnuts.
Baba Ghanoush with pita. Not much of the usual signature smokey flavor, but it was nicely seasoned and a little unusual with beet and pickle cubes, plus a reasonable amount of pita.
We tried the hummus, it was pretty good, strong tahini flavor, light on the lemon and olive oil. Hint of raw chickpea flavor. But, creamy and pleasant.
We also tried one of their sandwiches, the Haloumi, but subbed falafel and tahini sauce in place of the cheese. It was small but good with crusty bread, a bit of the veggie toppings and a generous side of crispy fries.
They have a simple but pretty well rounded brunch menu with assorted appetizers / dips, sandwiches / burritos, grilled items, hot dishes and a few other items.
If you haven't been, it is probably worth checking out. Something a little out of...
Read moreWe had such a great dinner at Nour’s tonight! It was our first time visiting, and we were warmly greeted by the team as soon as we walked in. The vibe of the restaurant is super chill and inviting.
Even though Nour’s just opened last week, everything already feels well-organized and thoughtfully run. We ordered the steak potatoes and the veggie handheld—both were packed with flavor and really hit the spot. When we had a few questions about the cocktail menu, the bartender came right to our table, greeted us personally, and helped us out, which we really appreciated.
After dinner, we were offered dessert and while browsing, we had the chance to meet the owners. They were incredibly kind and clearly passionate about what they’ve built. You can tell a lot of heart and hard work went into creating this space.
The food felt unique and memorable, the service was outstanding, and the entire staff made us feel welcome. There’s also a small market section with items for sale, plus coffee, lattes, and pastries. We’ll definitely...
Read moreLunch hr visit. Food was ordered and never received. Went to cancel order for 30-35 min wait time for to-go order. Magically the food was ready to go! Was told that someone else stole my food so it was remade with a free lemonade (no ice on 80 degree day) and the smallest cookie ever! Id rather they give me half off the food order price than the other consolation prizes. This should have been conveyed when it happened if my stay was extended by 15-20 minutes. Will not return, food may be for another demographic. Haha. At least the brown haired waitress who did not take my order checked in on me and others often.
Update: Potatoes were very soft but unseasoned. No matter the cultural dish seasoning isn't optional. The steak was easy to swallow but the sauce tasted rancid more so than sweet pomegranate to my liking. The cookie was...
