Famous Dave's Bar-B-Que — Restaurant in Lake Delton

Our server was excellent, which is the reason for getting any stars. He definitely earns his Money! He should get a raise! I have been a huge fan in the past of Famous Dave's, but lately, I have seen just a steady decline in the quality of their meats overall. It has really been a hit or miss with their rib tips. As far as this visit with this store goes, the rib tips were very dry. With the rib tips, I felt like I was eating warm beef jerky. It was just super tough and really dry, and I am not exaggerating on this. The burnt ends were not really burnt ends, it looks like just regular chopped meat that they pass off as burnt ends, but that was not the burnt ends I used to get that were fabulous before! Anyone who has gotten these in the past will know what I am talking about. (I should have taken a picture, i regret that now)The brisket had a ton of fat in them, was just a totally inferior quality from what I had before. The catfish was still good as well as the sides. Although I also see a much smaller portions of those as well. Famous Dave's used to have high quality meat, but I can really tell the difference of the shortcuts being made now. Also either the training and standards in the kitchen is either not being held up, or their is poor training going on. On a total corporate level, whatever decisions to make more profit with inferior products will eventually lead to loss if customers. It is better to have a better product and keep all of your regulars. I might give them one more chance to get this meat right, or else they will totally get dropped from my going out to eat list, I would almost rather buy a McRib from McDonald's, because the experience will be better with that "soy pork" being as cheap as it is than paying for a good meal and walking away a total disappointment. I always finish my food, but this is the first time I have not..... in years. I hope this feedback helps ones to see where they need to improve, being it was one of my favorite places to go to at one time. This is a chain that I wish would get their standards...

Just ate at the Famous Dave's in Wisconsin Dells on Meadowview Dr, today Oct 31,2025. I ate at othet Famous Dave's establishments over the years ,and always had a good experience, until now!!!! I ordered ribs and bbq burnt end tips, mashed potatoes, beans and cornbread. We also ordered brisket with coleslaw and baked potato We were served minutes later with lukewarm plate fulls of some of the most disgusting food I've ever encountered!! All the meats tasted like they were boiled or microwaved or both, then tossed on a plate, and served with some of the worst coleslaw I've ever tasted! Absolutely, disgusting and no flavor ! The so called bbq beans actually looked good, but another disappointment when I found them also luke warm, and Absolutely tasteless.. I was tempted to ask for a new fresh plate, but I'm sure all I would have received is another tasteless plate of food , that was simply microwaved to make it hotter! The meat tasted as if it was boiled in the early morning or day before, and just stacked into a meat bin, to be simply microwaved later in the day and served on a plate! The only thing really edible, was the cornbread muffin, which was also barely warm. We picked at our food in disgust, and finally asked for the outrageous 68 dollar bill for two sodas and two absolute horrible and disgusting Bbq. You couldn't pay me to eat there again! And folks in the area should stay away and run from this FAMOUS DAVES BBQ, located on Meadowview dr. In Wisconsin Dells location! One of most awful disgusting dining...

We have been coming here every year for 6 years for my son's birthday dinner. This year our food was cold, dry, and brought out to half of our table while the other half waited for ten more minutes to get theirs. Drinks took forever to get refilled and we only were offered to have them refilled once. Our server had three tables total and one of them had to ask for service while two hosts and/or bussers just stood there. Then they sat the server a table of 17 and the service went from terrible to worse. I understand each person has their job but it was frustrating to see other employees standing there not caring while this server couldn't keep up, perception is reality when it comes to customers. We had to mention my son's birthday three times before it was acknowledged, sorry, but it doesn't take much to make it a special experience for a kid and there was no effort here. The server was mildly apologetic but very defensive when we expressed our disappointment with our experience, and offered nothing in the form of words or compensation to make the situation right. We had to chase him down to pay our $160 bill. If you look at my reviews in here I am generally positive, but this was just such an all around disappointment I had to say something. We love Famous Dave's and will likely go again, but not to this one for...
