Heard there was a new spot in town so we decided to come check it out. Made reservation online a week ago without any issues.

There's a parking garage attached to the restaurant and it's $4 to park, which seems reasonable considering most places charge for parking these days.

The hostess greeted us as soon as we walked in and sat us in the main dining room. We were a party of 4 so we were seated at the booth in the back, but since it's a smaller room and the booths are elevated, we have a great view of the entire room and the stage. Las Vegas Academy was opening for a jazz artist that night so we enjoyed live music with our dinner. (Hostess reminded us there is a 2 hour limits with our table. I wasn't aware and it wasn't an issue for us. But if you plan to come eat and hang out to enjoy the live music after dinner, you might want to arrange your reservation accordingly. Alternatively, they do have a bar behind the dining room and there is a lounge area with couches and TV you can hang out after dinner. )

We had the nippers and crispy eggplants for appetizers. The nippers were actually very good. They were fried sweet bread dough accompanied with marinara sauce and a garlic butter for you to dip in. Highly recommend getting that. The crispy eggplant was also delicious but my companion much prefer the nippers. (Nippers are great to share as it's a basket of about 30 nuggets of bread. The eggplant was 6 slices of eggplant cut in half.)

We had the Caesars salad and the vic house salad. They were OK. Not bad but not great.

For entrees, we had the half roasted chicken, veal, skirt steak and Bolognese.

The skirt steak was very juicy and flavorful. I would rate that as #1 out of the 4 entrees. Then the Bolognese. The veal was good but it lacked salt, coming in as #3. The roasted chicken was a bit disappointing; it was rather dry. But you do get a lot of food if you get the half chicken.

We finished with 2 tiramisu. They were great. Not the best I've ever had and I didn't expect to find that here but this is definitely quality tiramisu.

For the 4 of us, without any drinks, it comes out at $190, which is pretty reasonable considering the location, decor and live music. It's a business casual joint but no one will care if you roll in in jeans and shorts. But most patrons were dressed for the theater, so bear that in mind.

We will definitely be...

Absolutely next level.

Right now this is our new favorite for Italian and we are looking very forward to showing up after 7pm next time for the Jazz.

Today we visited on a whim to qualify the food on our list of never ending food destinations. So many good choices keep the "bar" high.

First, I absolutely love that Symphony Park now has a bona fide Italian restaurant with a Jazz stage. Makes perfect sense being so close to the Smith Center, a destination for all things that sound amazing.

Second, so easy to access and park. From center strip I arrived and parked in 9 minutes.

Third, the prices were more than fair, a charming relief in its own right given some of the steep and gulp worthy receipts for fine food these days.

Fourth, one of the chefs, maybe the Executive chef? Came out to say hello in the middle of a course and we were thrilled.

Fifth, they have a signature chicken dish that is truly next level. We have become a little spoiled as of late, but this full plate appetizer is tasty through and through. I can't and won't do it justice trying to explain the taste, but It's so distinct, I am confident it will soon own a position on the food pantheon in Vegas.

Sixth and Seventh, we enjoyed some amazing pasta that was perfectly cooked. My chicken parm was absolutely delightful, lightly breaded with a perfectly rich and robust layer of sauce and cheese.

Our waiter was incredibly knowledgeable about every dish. No word slugs for food dishes, rather full and accurate sentences detailing ingredients and cooking methods. Was a marvel of its own.

The decor was comfortable and inviting as one might expect from a modern jazz dining room.

All of it made us anxious to book an evening with food and Jazz.

KUDOS to Vics. You will become a destination of your own in short order, not easy with all that has come before. We can't be happier to see that you have arrived and brought some genius to the...

This is a new restaurant, which opened early this year next to the Smith Center and we are so glad they did. This was the second time we have eaten here but the first-time having dinner before the show at the Smith Center. From the moment we arrived, we were treated like family, receiving a warm and welcoming from our hostess to the superb service we received from the restaurant staff. Most of all, we would like to extend special kudos to Jacob our waiter, who went above and beyond in taking care of our every need, thank you. Jacob was so warm, friendly and ensuring that we did not have to ask for anything. In addition, the food was fantastic and was served on a warm dish, excellent size portion, piping hot and cooked to perfection. We had chicken parmesan and the New England clam chowder, which we would highly recommend. And let us not forget the wonderful atmosphere inside this restaurant, first class from start to finish. Besides the main dining room, they have a bar area and what they call the sports room for walk-in diners. Which reminds me, be sure to make your reservation well in advance, especially on the nights the Smith Center Broadway Series plays are there, otherwise you might not be able to get inside. They also have a delicious dessert menu, but we were too full to part take in any after dinner delights. Again, we are so glad this restaurant is now part of the Smith Center complex because it makes for a wonderful night out, dinner and theatre all in one location, perfect. Thank you again to all the staff, especially Jacob, for a wonderful night at the theatre. With that said, we have decided this will be a new addition to theatre night of having a wonderful dinner prior to the show. Finally, there is plenty of paid parking right next door inside the City of Las Vegas...
