Update Aug 2022. I hate to downgrade my review, but this location has gone very downhill. The last two times we have been, it just feels dirty. Even things like plates and glasses have stuff on them, and the tables and booths aren't cleaned well. The service was ok. The server was friendly and knowledgeable, but he forgot a part if the meal we paid for and brought it when we finished paying and ready to pay. Plus, they are still using obnoxious phone menus instead of actual menus. I'm sure they would say it's for safety reasons, but we are all eating close together at tables that aren't cleaned well, so I don't think that's adding any measure of safety and it just seems cheap and tacky now. The food has gone down hill too. The dinner combo used to come with a protein, but we didn't get one for the same price now. And the battered vegetables used to be manageable sizes, but they were giant chunks now that weren't really manageable. The sushi was actually good, so that was a plus and why I an still giving three stars. They seated two large families on both sides of our booth, with wild kids. Not really the restaurants fault, but the place was practically empty, so why put them right by a couple obviously out for a weekend date? With the booth designs, all I could hear was yelling kids in my ear. Overall, the experience has gone from what felt like an edgier upscale-ish restaurant to what felt like a family pancake house in quality, cleanliness, and atmosphere. I'm sure labor challenges play a part, but I am tired if paying premium prices for sub quality experiences post covid. It's time to provide what people are paying a premium for or lower prices. We won't be back for long time.

Read moreMy wife and I are regulars at Tsunami, but tonight's visit left us pretty disappointed. I'm not much of a review writer, but this time I feel like sharing what happened.
So, my wife was craving her regular Jenny roll, and with our waiter's help, we decided to try a custom roll. Along with that, we ordered some edamame and a couple of rolls for me.
The trouble started when our custom roll arrived. It was missing four out of the six ingredients we asked for, had some cilantro on top (which my wife is allergic to), and even had a short hair or eyelash on it. To add to the mix, the Jenny roll was missing an ingredient, and we never got our edamame. We get that mistakes can happen, but this was a bit much.
It took around 40 minutes for someone to come and talk to us about these problems after we had brought it up to our waiter. By that time, we'd pretty much lost our appetite and everyone else was done eating at the table.
Finally, the manager showed up and, well, he wasn't exactly Mr. Hospitality. He seemed annoyed with us, saying we shouldn't have ordered a custom roll during their busy time and that we should expect mistakes. He even denied the cilantro was there, even though it clearly was. To top it off, he suggested to us that the hair might have just floated onto our roll from the air and was not their responsibility!
He ended up flat-out refusing to give us a refund or replace the roll. We've never come across a restaurant that wouldn't do that, even for a hair in the food.
Overall, it was a very disappointing experience, especially considering Tsunami's reputation. We're not sure if...
Read moreThe food here is absolutely delightful. My wife and I sat at the bar. We waited more then 10 minutes before we greeted. Once word got to Ryan, the general manager, that we had been ignored, he INSTANTLY came over the rectify the situation. He was very kind and personable. He apologized for the wait and was very generous. While he didn’t have to comp a few things from our check we were very grateful for his sincere gesture. Our appetizer, the Negima, was wagyu beef wrapped around asparagus with teriyaki sauce, and mushrooms. The miso was hot with long skinny white mushrooms, chives, seaweed, and tofu. The flavor was distinct and delicious. For our main course We ordered salmon, yellowtail, and tuna nigiri🍣 The tuna was particularly mouthwatering. We also ordered the Jenny sushi role. It came with salmon and very thin slices of 🍋 on top which made the roll softly sweet while the salmon was creamy and fresh. To finish things off we had a sweet creamy desert called coconut glory. It was vanilla ice cream with warm tempura bananas, chocolate and caramel syrup topped with 🥥 shavings. At the end of the meal, we were pleasantly full. We thanked Ryan one more time before leaving for his generosity. Overall our server was mediocre and we would often have to remind her to refill drinks or remove plates. I would recommend this restaurant as the food was perfect. The restaurant was clean...
