This restaurant was redone very recently and this was my first visit after the renovations. In the past, this has been a fine place to go, but in need of some cosmetic upgrades, and the staff has always been fine. They would do their job, and that was it. I don't believe I ever had a complaint.
It seems that not only did they upgrade the building, they also seemed to have upgraded the staff. Upon walking in the door I was greeted by a manager (more about him to come) who also told me I can go ahead and place my order at a kiosk or the counter. I have never used a Wendy's ordering kiosk, and I was amazed at how great it was. It was quick, intuitive, and great to use. Everything was laid out very well and let me chose from option I didn't know where available, such as a "premium bun" which I now will get every time.
After ordering on the kiosk, I stood over to the side to hear my name being called just a few seconds later. There was a very nice lady at the counter handing me my drink. I went over and used one of two fully stocked and fuctional Coca-Cola Freestyle machines. About the same time I was done choosing my drink, I hear my name called a second time. This time, another extremely friendly lady held my tray over food. I went over and sat at a table under a nice new TV. The entire inside of the building was brand new and clean.
This is when I realized how great this restaurant really is. After a few bites of my burger (that tasted good) the same manager walked over and slid a keychain my way. It had recognized that I was a university student and gave me a card for free junior frosties all year (something I had purchased for a few bucks the year prior).
While I finished eating my meal, I see him walking around helping other customers. At one point, a customer had pointed out that he was overcharged, and the manager pulled his wallet out and handed him a dollar. Later on, someone said they didn't get the burger quite right, and he called over to the kitchen and got him his burger exactly how he wanted it within seconds.
All in all, this was much more than I had expected a Wendy's (or any eating establishment) to offer. The service was really top-notch, and I didn't even mention the incredible value...
Read moreThe most ridiculous staff I've ever seen at a any fast food place. Went into the dining room to eat and they were the slowest people I've ever seen. Two of them were literally just standing there looking at the order screen with no idea at all what was going on. They had a staff of 7 or 8 people with literally half of them working. The guy making the sandwiches even stopped and yelled at the other kid and told him he had to teach the girl what to do. That he couldn't do everything by himself. Their was 6 customers inside and 3 cars in the drive through. They shutdown down the lobby completely cause they couldn't keep up. Literally locked the doors to the outside during business hours. We ate our food which was about 20 to 25 mins. When we left the car that pulled into the drive-thru when we got there was just pulling off. Every car was pulled over after paying and made to wait in the parking stalls. Also there was still a customer waiting for his food that was there when we ordered ours. Definitely the craziest thing I've seen in a long time. If staffing dosen't get corrected at this location it definitely will shutdown I'm sure. I've never been locked inside a restaurant at 3pm in the day ever. Completely ridiculous. Also forgot to mention the entire time we were in there it smelled as if everything was burning. You could even smell it from...
Read moreMy last 4 trips to Wendy's went something like this...Trip #1: Long wait at drive-thru, and got the wrong order...Trip #2: Longer wait at drive-thru, but I got the right order and they also added a junior bacon cheeseburger to my order which they may have done on purpose(because of the long wait) although they never said that they added it, I found out for myself when I got home...Trip #3 I pulled up to the intercom and I waited...and waited....and waited...Nobody said "We'll be right with you" or anything. I literally just sat there for about 10 minutes waiting for them to say something, before I left. Right as I turned into Wendy's, there was a car at the intercom that also left, likely because of the same issue. One time is one thing, but three very long waits at the drive-thru is ridiculous..Then there was trip #4: decent sized line, but they were fast and I got the right order. I went at 1 o'clock as opposed to 6:30, so the earlier shift seems to be much better and faster. The girl that was working at that time, wasn't messing around lol, so a much better experience, which explains the 3 stars as opposed...
