Came in to do some work and enjoy some food/beer while I was at it. Service: 6/10 I went to the bar after I confirmed it was open seating. I'm being generous with my rating because the bartender seemed new to the job, possibly even serving in general. He did the best he could but they appear to be struggling. After waiting 15 mins for my food the bartender noticed and realized he never out my order in. I appreciate his honesty, but I could see why many people in the bar appeared frustrated with the service. Food: 5/10 I was severely disappointed with how dry my wings were. This is why I hardly ever go anywhere with a good bargain on wings, it hardly ever works out well. It actually hurt my teeth to eat them, they were so dry and tough. Being made on the fly, I thought they would come out juicy. I enjoy my wings naked with ranch sauce, but there was nothing enjoyable about these bland, very over cooked wings. The bar size bbq nachos just did not hit the way I thought they would. Chili tastes like it's from a can and it lacks flavor. Ambience: 10/10 Well lit and plenty of seating. I love the stringed lights and it gives a very welcoming feel from the moment you walk in. Outside seating available as well. Short and sweet, I won't come back here and I'll go to the usual Yardhouse, Hooters or Outback instead.

It’s unfortunate to have experienced a visit like this to Long Beach’s new Famous Dave’s restaurant. I have been to 2 others and my wife and I weren’t satisfied with the food. The brisket were the bottom end, burnt tips and very very salty pieces of the meat. The ribs were a bit pink on the outside and had some very pink inside, indicative of undercookness. The chips, aka potatoes wedges were old and oily, dark see-through potatoes. The texture was fine but it tasted meh. The Mac and cheese was grainy, corn was cold and some parts of it were cold not even 2 minutes after arriving. The chicken was definitely undercooked, pink on the inside. I knew it was too juicy to be true. Mashed potatoes were decent. The reason I didn’t put pictures up is because I don’t want to de-motivate anyone to come here and try it. Maybe it was our night to experience it like this(12/9/22), but it needed to be said. Manager, please double check quality of the food often since it didn’t happen that night. The hostess in the front was kind and the server was nice but seemed to be busy.

ARE YOU SERIOUS??? If you’re in the mood for some unforgettable BBQ, Famous Dave’s Bar-B-Que is a must-visit, especially if you’re coming from out of town! I was visiting from Dallas, TX, and after hearing rave reviews from my uncle, I had to give it a try. I ordered the All American Platter but swapped the fried chicken for Bar-B-Q chicken, and it was a fantastic decision. The food was absolutely amazing! The ribs and beans were full of flavor—definitely “to die for.” And let me tell you, those cornbread muffins were the real stars: soft, sweet, and with just a touch of heat—so good they are “to kill for.” Honestly, I wish we had a Famous Dave’s in Dallas because I’d be there all the time. The atmosphere was also spot on: peaceful, relaxed, and welcoming, perfect for enjoying great food. I’m really hoping this location is still around next time I visit California because it’s already on my list for a return trip. If you’re in town, do yourself a favor and get the All American Platter—you won’t be disappointed!

Probably one of the worst dining experiences I have ever had. I’m not usually one to get on google and complain, but I felt I could make an exception this time. We arrived at the Long Beach location about 12:30 on a Sunday, walk in and it is not busy at all. The friendly host told us 10 minutes to be seated. It ended up being about 15 minutes, no problem. They seated a large group before us who seemed to have made a large party reservation, so it was understandable. We got seated, and our waitress came by and said she would be back in just a minute. It started to go downhill from here. We waited for at least 10-15 minutes for someone back to help us, and it was the host, not our waitress. We asked if we could order right then, because we didn’t know when we would get service again. We got our drinks fast, but then we waited at least 45 minutes-hour for our food. There seemed to be plenty of servers, but they all seemed MIA. The host went missing, and I think he was helping in the back. There were people waiting in the lobby for a long time without even being acknowledged. We weren’t even the only table who seemed upset about this situation. One guy in the lobby waiting to be seatedwho had been waiting for a ridiculous amount of time made a full lap around the inside of the restaurant looking to see what the deal was. The only reason I gave this a 2 star is because the food was actually good. Yes, I understand they may have been slammed with that big group (10-15 people) who came in before us, but there seemed to be plenty of employees considering the restaurant was not busy at all. Maybe there was only one cook. Things happen. But as far as our server never coming back to keep us updated on our order, that was not cool. Also, really bad sewage smell in the bathroom by the sink. Can’t win them all I...

I went to the restaurant and the menu had some delicious looking food however, when my food came, all I had is four piece of chicken, cornbread beans, and fries. How can that possibly be messed up? I will tell you how the chicken appeared to look like some cooked up I don’t know what but I couldn’t even take a bite into the chicken because it was so hard that we would’ve probably broken my teeth, and when I peeled it with those burnt crispy things off the bone, I looked, and the bone was burnt. Only in my thought was that this had been cooked and re-cooked it was horrible. I couldn’t eat. The only reason I’m given the staff of one star is cause I was seated. I can’t give a star on the restaurant. There’s no stars for the food and when I had mentioned this to my waitress and the young man waiter, he just rolled his eyes like whatever and walked away, and then both of them just laughed at that point I asked for the manager who wanted to look at the food and I’m showing her actually I picked up the chicken and said could you eat this? I was refunded the meal. You don’t have to do this and then I’m gonna refund everything except the soda. I’ll comp the meal but not the soda. OK that’s fine. Weird but OK I do not recommend this restaurant within five minutes of leaving. I had taken a couple bites into the cornbread. I was immediately sick. I felt like I had food poisoning from the corn bed and the bite. I did eat from the inside of the chicken Perhaps if it was chicken. I had tried to take a bite from the inside of the chicken, but it was so hard. It couldn’t be chewed, but I was immediately sick for a few hours after you eaten those few bites if I could even call them and bites of whatever that was, that was on my plate because it did not look...

Everything about Famous Dave’s in Long Beach is dreadful. First off the service, I placed an order for curbside pickup on 11/21/2023 at 12:04 pm with a pickup time at 12:27 for a relatively small order 3 items (still well over $50). I arrived around 12:30 expecting my order to be ready, so I called with no answer. I called 5 times with no answer whatsoever, all in all I was waiting in my car for about 15-20 minutes trying to get ahold of them. Finally I parked and headed inside, where to my surprise it was not busy at all. I walked up to the front and was waiting for 5-10 minutes for someone to even acknowledge me. Finally someone helped me and got my order and I wanted to let the manager know of the lack of service. The host went to go get the manager Terri. I waited another 5 ish minutes for the manger to slowly walk up and explain to me that they didn’t hear the phones because they were busy… there were maybe 5 tables, she was just giving excuses. I decided to just move on and leave. When I got back and checked the food IT WAS ALL WRONG. Obviously it was cold as it had probably been sitting for upwards of 30 minutes but for it to be wrong is ridiculous. The sides were wrong, one of the entrees was wrong and the special instructions were wrong. I called back to explain the problem and asked to talk to the manager, and it was Terri again. I voiced my frustration to where she said that she would make this right and mail us something to make it right, which is why I am writing this review now. I gave Terri the benefit of doubt that she would do something to make things right… but it’s been well over a month and nothing has been done or said. I am very disappointed in the management, especially Terri, and how things...
