Iâm currently a member at BellaTec, and it makes me sad to write this review. I truly see the potential this gym has. Some instructors and front desk staff are welcoming, but others can be difficult to talk to. Despite this, I was still finding my way and enjoying the gym.
I first joined in 2024 and upgraded to the Elite Pass in March 2025. The upgrade was sold to me with the promise of unlimited classes, guest passes, and parking included. For anyone living in DTLA, you know parking is hard to find, and meter parking can cost $5â$20.
Thatâs why I was shocked when the administration gave no proper notice, only telling Elite members in the last two days of July, that due to new ownership, the parking policy would change starting August 1. Now, if you take more than one class a day, you must pay an extra $5 for the parking lot. This was never disclosed when I signed up. At sign-up, they made it seem like parking was guaranteed. They also didnât explain that the owner could change the parking rules at any time.
When I emailed for my signed contract, I found that it only says parking details are disclosed to members, but no clear policy was given. When I asked for more details, I was told to check âsections 7 and 3â of the terms and conditions. The problem? The websiteâs terms arenât organized by sections, just long paragraphs, so I couldnât find what they referred to. My follow-up questions were ignored, and I was simply told again to âcheck the terms and conditions.â
Another issue: if you cancel an Elite membership, you still have to pay two more months and only get 31 days to use the facility. Keep in mind, the Elite membership is up to $200 a month.
I feel the new parking rule is unfair, especially since Elite members who take multiple classes daily are now being charged more. The new policy gives one hour of free parking; if you take a second class, itâs $5 extra; a third class is $10 extra. In this economy, it feels like the gym is taking more from members than giving.
Now, Iâm honestly nervous to go back, worried that the owner or staff might treat me differently for speaking up. My advice: read any contract very carefully before signing, and donât let them pressure you into purchasing a membership.
This gym gives mixed emotions, some instructors truly care about your well-being and helping you meet your goals, and some reception staff are kind and helpful. But there are also certain instructors and staff who can feel cliquish or give off âhigh...

False Advertisement: When I signed up for the class, it was advertised as being an hour long, but it ended 15 minutes early. Iâve attached a screenshot to confirm this.
Instructor Concerns: The coach just didnât invest in us. She was mostly focused on herself, looking herself in the mirror, not checking if we were doing things correctly or safely. It felt like she was going through the motions rather than engaging with the class. Honestly, I couldâve just watched a YouTube video and had a similar experience, if not better.
Memberships and Facilities: While I understand youâre proud of what you offer, saying itâs âstandardâ really sums up how I feltâthereâs nothing unique or special here compared to other gyms. And given the pricing, itâs hard to see the value when there are so many other options out there.
Lastly, I didn't enjoyed my time with you guys at all, so I don't know where "Jing, I am glad you enjoyed your time with us!" is from. That's why I gave one star with my reasons, so all I see is your response is not genuine and you are not trying to improve AT ALL.
I had high hopes for your studio because you are good at advertising it, but this visit didnât live up to what you promised.
I hope this feedback helps make the experience better for others in the future.
Old review:
I used to love this placeâit was supposed to be a welcoming womenâs community, promoting comfort and positivity. Unfortunately, itâs no longer the case.
First, their memberships are extremely overpriced with unreasonable terms.
I attended their Booty Pump class, and it was a disappointing experience. The instructor was demanding and unfriendly, showing no empathy when most people struggled to keep up. Instead of adjusting or offering modifications, she kept pushing us, which felt inconsiderate. To make matters worse, the class ended 15 minutes earlyâthatâs 25% of the value gone.
On top of that, their main focus seems to be pressuring you into signing up for memberships. Even when the manager/owner tried to get personal, it ultimately turned into a hard sell. The moment I declined, their attitude shiftedâthey became cold and dismissive.
I wouldnât recommend this place and wonât be...
Read moreIf you're considering a membership - just do it. I LOVE working out at bellaTec. Would give 1000 stars if I could. I used to take some of their classes through classpass, but after just a few classes I knew I wanted to join their membership. I've been signed up for a little over a month now and cannot say enough great things, I have 0 regrets. The space is so clean, well organized, the staff is SO FRIENDLY and helpful. The best energy out of any fitness studio I've ever stepped foot in.
Siranush's "Best Stretch Ever" class puts me in positions I would have never thought to do myself and it's so rewarding to surprise myself with my own abilities!! Love her mat Pilates classes too, I'm addicted. Just in the past month of working out here I already feel 5x stronger. I love Pearrie's barre classes, you can REALLY feel the muscles getting sculpted! Sarabeth's ballet class on Saturday morning always leaves me sore in the best way, and it's so fun to get back into dance. Afarin's reformer Pilates classes are great for anyone getting started on the machine, beginner friendly but still challenging! I would opt for Lauren's reformer classes if you're looking for something more difficult but still fun. I just took a "curls and crunches" class with Esmee and loved it- she's got great music, instruction, and the sets/breaks are timed perfectly so you don't feel overworked.
Mat pilates, reformer pilates, HIIT, barre, weightlifting, dance, spin classes, nutrition guidance - you name it, they have it. There's options for everyone, available at any time. The membership is so affordable and worth every penny, I recommend it to anyone that will listen!! They're constantly hosting fun events with great vendors and they really do a solid job of fostering a strong sense of community. Kay, Carabella (the owner), Kaylee, Claire, basically every single person at the front desk is a complete doll and truly such a pleasure. Tried to write in every name that I could remember, forgive me if anyone got left off, you guys are the BEST!! Huge thank you to EVERY SINGLE staff member for creating such a fun and welcoming space for the girlies!...
