Went to Target Sunday on 2-27-22 I use to enjoy coming to this Target before C19 happened. But now this Target is terrible. These young kids (employees) are so darn lazy it's not even funny. They don't ever, and I mean never ask you if you need any help! Even every time I have to go get allergy pills because it's locked up in a case, I can never find any one to come open it up. Then while I'm waiting for one of the employees to come over to see if I need any thing and they clearly see I'm lost or need help, they just walk right by me more than once. Then when I'm finally able to get someone's attention and ask them for help they look upset because they didn't want to do their job. I've had to track down the manager a few times at this Target location because no one would help me and would all just walk by me and fast as if they were in a big hurry. Only to see them just standing around doing nothing. The employees at this location is not friendly at all at least most of my personal encounters. Now I thought that LA had lifted the mask mandate for indoors. So I walked in Target without my mask on Sunday 2-27-22 and the young girl inside sitting to my left at the little booth with the box of mask when you walk in the sliding doors called me out pretty quickly. She gave me attitude like I was going to spread C19 to everyone like the mask work and I was trained to work in high and heavy isolation rooms with different airborne issues and this is not the right mask. The other issue is that security who is actually some of the most friendliest people at Target are always having to throw people out for stealing. Every time I go to this location someone is always stealing. The other issue is that the bathrooms are rarely ever clean and are just as nasty. Grown men walk in the bathroom, pull out their tool and just urinate all over the toilet stalls and floor only to bypass the sink and soak and walk straight out the door to Starbucks to get that frapp. But people are worried about catching C19 if someone is wearing a mask but you have nasty people in the bathroom taking a hot major dump all over the toilet seat and not washing their hands. todd and...

The Target store itself is great I come and shop here quite a lot and grab a Coldbrew at this Starbucks a lot also.
The staff/baristas are usually nice and helpful. But my visit last night was terrible. I understand peopleās moods change and everyone is entitled to their own feelings and what-not and I get if you have a bad day at work, I personally work in the service industry too (chef) BUT donāt take your frustrations out on customers and be outright and completely rude.
I was the only one in line, no one ahead of me and no one behind me, there were no orders bro g made and i understand if they were busy doing something behind the scenes but in any service industry job the customer always comes first no matter what... i wanted patiently at the counter for her to see me, i didnāt motion for her to come to me or ask. Like i said I work in that sort of job too and understand if she were wiping something or doing something, so i waited till she finished whatever she was doing and politely smiled and said hi when she was done and came to the register. there was no Hi back or a smile or even a polite face at all. nothing she said āwhat do you want?ā I said āa tall cold brew...ā and she cut me off and said āis that it?ā then i said ājust bla...ā and she cut me off again and repeatedly said āanything. else.???ā and then i tried to finish and say i just wanted it black with lite ice. and she cut me off in mid sentence and asked if that was it. she asked me a total of six times and every time she cut me off.
she game me my total, i already had my money out and was holding it for her and she looked at it and walked away and made my drink, very angrily and came back and said āhere.ā
it was like i was inconveniencing her with my order.
When a job makes a person like this itās time to ask yourself whether you should be there or not. Yeah i donāt know her story or anything, but donāt take it out on a random person thatās just grabbing...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI looked forward to the day a Target would come to DTLA. So, I went with much excitement. Having frequented the Macys that once took residence there as well as other surrounding establishments, I knew the parking situation. But, upon entering the garage, I realized that it was not as it was once before.
Right when you enter the garage, pay attention to the signs in regard to where to park because there are various rates depending on the level that you park. I suggest you park on L3 because it has the least expensive rate $1/hour, where as other levels can cost you up to $3/hour - why the difference? I don't know.
So, I went from entering the garage in level 9 to parking in level 3 only to walk up the slope to take the elevator to the 1st floor. After exiting the first floor, I had to walk down the slope fork a left into a corridor and then up the escalators to Target. By this time 15 minutes have been elapsed.
The Target store itself is just like any other Target, but like the name implies it is a City Target not your regular suburban Target. So, I think what they have in mind, is that you don't shop for a lot of items, just a few. And this is why you should shop for just a few - YOU CAN'T TAKE THE SHOPPING CARTS OUT! I wish I had known this so I would not have bought all my heavy bulk items here. You can ask for a carry out - but that's just a hassle.
Oh, don't forget to validate - I did and the parking would have cost me $7.50 had I not said to the attendant that I had just shopped at target and she gave me a voucher to insert in the pre-pay kiosk. With validation it was $1.00.
My recommendation, if you live/work in DTLA and need a couple of items then this Target is a great resource. But I think I'd rather drive the 15 minutes it takes me to get the next nearest Target where I don't have to worry about paying/validating parking and carrying...
