Many years ago when I worked at law firms in the area, this was generally the "go to" place for late dinner break when working late because the variety of choices and quality of food. I do not know if COVID has changed this or it is change in staff, menu or other factors such as offering the latest food trends, but the quality of food and service has dropped.
We discovered that it was not good idea when after placing our order online. When we realized we made a mistake, we tried to correct it online, then had to call the location on the way there. They had not received the order, so we placed it again. They use a service which is supposed to forward the order to the appropriate location, but we were told that many times they either do not forward orders, or there is a delay. It was not an easy process to place the order. When we arrived, they had not started it because of a confusion about mushrooms on the pizza (after telling them 3 times on the phone it didn't matter which mushrooms were used)
I was disappointed that the Chinese Chicken Salad has been replaced by another less appetizing choice - that is nothing like the salad previously offered. I opted for the Waldorf salad instead, which was satisfactory.
However, the simple sausage and mushroom pizza my husband ordered was horrible. There was no flavor, the ingredients not generous - he ate one slice and threw the rest of it out.
Not my favorite experience. When I return to work when COVID restrictions are lifted, I will not consider ordering or eating here again. There are plenty of other Italian and pizza choices in downtown that are better and...
Read moreI dined in and it was just me. Hostess was nice and sat me where I requested. Server came and I ask for a sangria and the rolls appetizer while deciding what entree I wanted. She brought my drink and I asked for a pizza.. this is where it went down for me. 20 min and still no appetizer, at this point I'm positive im going to receive both at the same time. 6 min later I get both at the same time. Server apologizes but says she doesnt know why it happened. [Indirectly blaming kitcken??] Anyway rolls were good I had 2 but I know my pizza is getting cold. I try my pizza it's good but no longer where it couldve been[1 slice] server saw me and was going to come towards me but instead checked her other tables who were fine to avoid me.[I was a server before, I know that act. If youve worked as a server u just know] I switch to rolls and they're barely warm and the taste wasnt where it was[1]. Go back to pizza and it's cold. Oh man well that sucked and it's obvious in my face. Server asks if I'm good and I ask for a box. She couldve offered to sell me a dessert and I wouldve gotten one so I could turn my dinner experience around but she didnt. Brought box and check and that was it. Wouldve been a perfect check even though her service wasnt good but she didnt try. Her service was ok but seeing her with her other tables I'm sure shes good. I placed an order online for a pre-planned lunch meeting and unfortunately on the morning of, Alberto contacted me to advise me that my order did not go through. I became very nervous because I had many people expecting lunch and I needed this to be taken care of asap. Alberto was extremely professional and kind to me and told me to just replace the order online and he will take care of it. I contacted the online company and told them the situation, and they reached out to Alberto as well, but something was not going through on the back end. As a result, my order was still going to be cancelled. I called Alberto again and he told me that he reached out to his DM and they are going to make my order and figure it out. He assured me that everything will be taken care of and to just be there at a certain time to pick up my order. As soon as I arrived, he was attentive, respectful, and provided excellent customer service. Alberto and his staff were also so kind and helpful. I was so impressed with his management skills and calmness despite me being frustrated and worried about the whole situation.
