5 stars for the best handling of a mistake by Tony Pepperoni, whom I assume is the manager or owner. My 13yo daughter had the pepperoni pie with friends once and said it was the best she ever had, so we ordered for the first time via Uber Eats for home delivery: 2 pies & 2 salads, but the pepperoni pie was missing and my daughter was super disappointed. I called and they immediately confessed it was an oversight on their part, not Uber's. They tried to get a replacement pie out but they were closing and couldn't make it happen that night. The next day I spoke to Tony who offered a full refund of the entire order, which I thought was generous, but the refunding process was tedious and taking too long due to issues beyond their control, so a few days later I asked if he could just repeat the order and comp it. He said absolutely he would, but when we picked up the order, he had added an extra pepperoni pie and a couple of cookies! I was in the restaurant business for 16 years, and this proves Tony really understands how solve these kinds of issues that happen in every restaurant. I ordered delivery with Uber eats so not sure how the place is inside. What I can say is OMG this place has THE BEST gluten free pizza!!! And it's actually thick crusted gluten free pizza!!!! I am so sick of nothing but crummy thin crust gluten free pizzas on a nasty cauliflower crust, but this place makes their own crust! They use actual gluten free flour and make thick crusted pizza!!! I was in literal pizza heaven! It has been so long since I've had yummy gluten free pizza! They need to teach the folks in Madison WI how to do pizza! I will be sad when I go home to WI since I have yet to find such good pizza there! Highly recommend these guys!!! I stopped by Danny Boy’s Famous Original Pizza and grabbed a Pepe and a cheese slice, and both hit the spot. The cheese slice was classic—perfectly crispy crust, just the right amount of sauce, and a nice, gooey layer of cheese that stretched just right when you took a bite. Simple, but done really well.

The Pepe was something special. The toppings were fresh, and the flavors balanced perfectly. The crust had that great New York-style crunch with a little chew, making every bite super satisfying. You can tell they know what they’re doing when it comes to making a solid slice.
