Nevermind the over entitled door douche who demands a retinal scan along with your photo ID - that's right, like a Russian prison camp, let's get your face scanned so we can determine if you're safe to order our fries - but the dirty floors and disheveled bar furniture are less than inviting. Just getting in says something more like you just missed fight club NOT welcoming or even the meager promise of some comforting food and a nice drink. The makers of the beverage should be ashamed to have their name on this one. I've been to Ireland and while there may be fights, they are good, friendly, fun loving folks. NOT HERE. Needless to say that the the same unwelcoming attitude permeated the whole experience. Couldn't get the bartenders attention. The bar staff seemed to have no method of taking orders in turn but randomly selecting patrons some of whom didn't even want drinks. The table staff non existent or in the back doing drugs - sorry that was a typo- I meant doing dishes. The food was cold. (Cold fries are the worst.) We left our unfinished meals and watered down drinks because it was just too depressing to sit in the bad vibes at this place. We went elsewhere to try and rid ourselves of the Jameson's experience. I'm sure they attract a lot of unsuspecting tourists off the strip but I'm a Hollywood resident. This place is an embarrassment. Especially when you consider the rooftop options of Mama Shelter, Dream or the mixology excellence of Tao or Mother Wolf. All just a couple blocks away. Even a place like Elbow Room, a smallerish Cahuenga corridor bar has a better feel without the corporate monicker and no doubt financial support. Representatives from Jameson's should come out and immediately review weather they want their name on this low rent, negative, night ending...
Read moreThis was my 1st time and this establishment and was not impressed at all. Within my 1st 5 mins in the location I headed to the bathroom coming out found a guest/ customer passed out on the floor... this is not my complain. After stepping out of the bar after being there for 45 mins the gentleman who clearly had too much to drink was unresponsive sitting outside on the street. They “staff workers” disposed of him and made no attempt to call 911 for alchohol poisoning. When checking on him after being curious because it look like he was no longer alive. His breathing was very faint and I had to call 911. Dispatch requested to lay him on his back and to keep an eye on him until they arrived.
My point being that this establishment does not care of the life’s of its customers. I understand that while you trying to keep the place sane and getting the over drinkers out is priority for guest service you need to acknowledge and be aware of all your customer can’t toss them into the street and let strangers take pictures of you and make fun of them.
I definitely will not come back and honestly this review probably won’t matter to you after seeing how you treat your customers but I definitely hope when people read this review that at least they have been warned. Don’t count on this bar for help, it’s all about revenue here.
Oh and I forgot, business have a capacity for alloted people inside get your bouncers to realize how to count. So many people spilling beer because there is not enough room to move! At least move the tables...
Read moreThe service was the only thing wrong with this restaurant. From the moment we walked in, we were basically on our own. We were told to seat ourselves and someone would be with us. After about 30 minutes someone came to our table. That would have been fine if they were busy but there were only 3 other tables. We ordered our drinks and the server told us we either open a tab or pay when we order our food which I thought was odd. So after ordering our food, the server said she needed to hold onto my credit card, I asked why and she said " it's policy". I was reluctant at first, but had to give it to her if we wanted to eat. Our food came out rather quickly. The server dropped it off and left, didn't ask if we needed anything, she just left. We were finally able to flag down our server who was hanging out by the door. I asked her for some dressing and a glass of water. When she dropped off the items she told me that if I wanted water I had to get it myself, she and never came back to our table. My friend had tried to get her beverage refilled twice as she walked by but both times she was ignored and the server never came back until we stopped her and asked for the bill. Worst customer service I have ever experienced. If you like rude servers and poor service and still be expected to tip generously, then by all means give this place a try. If you value great customer service I recommend going...
