El Amanecer Salvadoreño — Restaurant in Los Angeles

this was my go-to place when i lived in ktown. Best caldo de gallina & pupusas are top tier. All other food is pretty good too. Only giving 4 starts because there’s a female waiter that whenever she serves us, she’s brought the wrong order, spilled the drink while putting it down but doesn’t care to clean it up, and almost hit my grandma in the face with a plate… All other servers are really nice and positive so overall great place...

The prices listed are not what they charge you. I asked for extra sides and they weren't included. Then when I called them, they told me to just drive over to pick them up! Been a costumer since the first owner had it back in the days when he first had a little shack and we sat outside bar stools the he opened up El Amanecer after years sold it to 3 people now I think one or 2 still own the restaurant but the girl left 🤔 😕 it continues to be my favorite Salvadorean restaurant...
