Amazing food. Despite some previous reviews, service was fine. There was a wait for food, but if a restaurant is full and the food is being cooked to order, I rarely walk in expecting or demanding to be served within minutes. Lack of entitlement, I guess. The french toast is impeccable, and my partner really enjoyed the rice bowl. The space is well designed and clean, and music / atmosphere playlist had us GOING the entire time! Definitely recommended. ••••• UPDATE! While all the above remains mostly true, a couple things have changed; I learned today that it's because the restaurant has new owners as of a couple months ago. Primarily, the fact that there are no dishes is a pretty major negative, not only on terms of appearance, but also because even the most basic level of care about the environment and planet wouldn't allow me to continue to eat somewhere that creates unnecessary waste with paper and plastic containers and utensils for every dine-in order instead of dishes. Then other thing that's important to me personally is the music - still pretty good for the most part, but I was definitely offended and hard eye-rolling over the couple of N-word-touting songs that played. I don't want to hear that ever, definitelyyyy not during breakfast. This has become a regular destination for my partner and I, and we both hope they're able to make these slight modifications so we can feel good about spending our money there and...
Read moreHoly Cow! (This is a combined review from two visits: one last year, one a few minutes ago). This place is awesome. The chef is a wonderful senior woman that can dazzle! We ordered the French Toast Sandwich and the Breakfast Burrito. Both were fantastic. Fresh ingredients! The salad was dancing on the plate and in my mouth. Excellent sauces! Looks like mom chef puts all her Korean love with American experience into the food. The portions are huge, particularly when compared to NYC. Parking was a little tight. The atmosphere is eclectic. Korean mom cooking; Young, tall smiling man serving as host. Ona side note…happy server. Big sign of a well run restaurant is happy employees, who rave about management. Don’t be afraid of the cool young party goers who reveled through the night and are scarfing down food. Panko French toast…are you...
Read moreExtremely polite and attentive on phone and in person. Clean, comfortable seating area. Good flow for noon on Saturday. Menu is diverse and interesting but not overwhelmingly so. Focus on breakfast and rice bowls with additional specialities really made the choice hard but fun. Good balance of sweet, savory, and healthy options. We especially liked the pricing of the French toast as well as adding on additional pancakes to your order for $5. A lot of places make you pay for a full entree pancake, which is essentially what we got at a lower price. Panko French toast is interesting and delicious. I usually don’t like eggs, truffle or home fries but enjoyed the truffle omelette and their crispy home fries a lot. Choice of sides for eggs was nice. Rice bowl was good. Definitely going back to try other options and because the service was...
