La Salsa — Restaurant in Los Angeles

Instead of choosing your ingredients as they make it for you like Chipotle or Moe's, you choose off their menu from a selection of already pre-designed burritos, tacos and more. It was a bit confusing the first time (especially as a vegetarian) but the staff was helpful and patient. Once I got my burrito (2-5 min wait) I was very pleasantly surprised by the taste and quality. The ingredients were all evenly distributed so that unlike Chipotle you got a little bit of everything with almost every bite. Salsas were also good and it's nice that the chips come free. It’s sort of a hidden location, that I stumbled upon. The food is fresh and consistent. The staff do a good job of keeping the salsa bar clean and replenished. I had not been here almost two years. The only thing I have tried is the chicken tortilla soup, but it is so good! It's filling and there's a lot of chicken in it. I ordered some today and they gave me my soup, tortilla strips separate, chips and three salsas! All for less than $7. I can't think of one place where the chicken tortilla soup...
