Mendocino Farms in Beverly Hills is a culinary gem that delivers fresh, creative, and downright delicious food in a vibrant and welcoming setting. Known for its farm-to-table approach, this restaurant is a must-visit for anyone looking for a healthy, flavorful meal that doesn’t compromise on taste.
The Food: The menu at Mendocino Farms is a celebration of fresh, high-quality ingredients with a creative twist. I tried the “Modern Tuna Melt,” and it was a revelation—think perfectly seared tuna, melted gruyere, and a tangy lemon-dill aioli on toasted artisan bread. Every bite was a harmonious blend of flavors and textures. Their salads are equally impressive; the “Mendo’s Organic Greens” salad was fresh, crisp, and topped with a delightful champagne vinaigrette. Don’t skip their seasonal sides, like the roasted sweet potatoes or the quinoa tabbouleh—they’re the perfect complement to any meal. For dessert, the chocolate chip cookie is a must—it’s soft, chewy, and just the right amount of sweet.
The Drinks: Mendocino Farms offers a great selection of beverages, from freshly squeezed juices to craft sodas and organic teas. I tried the cucumber mint cooler, and it was incredibly refreshing—perfect for a sunny Beverly Hills afternoon.
The Vibe: The atmosphere at Mendocino Farms is lively and inviting, with a modern, rustic decor that feels both chic and comfortable. The space is bright and airy, with plenty of seating options, including a lovely outdoor patio that’s perfect for people-watching. Whether you’re dining solo, with friends, or with family, the vibe is always warm and welcoming.
The Service: The staff at Mendocino Farms are friendly, attentive, and genuinely passionate about the food they serve. They’re happy to make recommendations or accommodate special requests, making you feel right at home. The service is quick and efficient, which is great for those on the go, but they never make you feel rushed.
Overall: Mendocino Farms in Beverly Hills is a standout dining experience that combines fresh, flavorful food with a vibrant and welcoming atmosphere. Whether you’re a local or just passing through, this is a must-visit spot for anyone looking for a healthy, satisfying meal. I’ll definitely be returning to try more of their menu and soak in...
Read moreToday, I had a deeply uncomfortable experience at Mendocino Farms, located on Fairfax and 3rd. I went there for lunch with a friend and witnessed two men—later confirmed by a cashier to be managers—publicly reprimanding an employee who was visibly crying and clearly embarrassed. This happened inside the restaurant, in full view of customers.
They were seated right behind the table that’s against the wall by the drink fountain. The men weren’t shouting, but their posture was distinctly passive-aggressive. Their voices were likely whispering harsh words, as the employee couldn’t hold back her tears. When she noticed I had seen what was happening, she gave me a look of deep embarrassment—it was heartbreaking to witness.
I expressed to the cashier how inappropriate and unethical the situation was. Frankly, the way that employee was treated could easily be considered harassment and grounds for legal action.
My friend and I have been regular customers at this location for years, and we’ve often noticed how unusually “friendly” the staff seem. It doesn’t feel natural—more like they’re being pressured to act overly cheerful, which ends up feeling uncomfortable for everyone. The woman being targeted has always been kind and welcoming to us, and seeing her treated this way was upsetting.
To make matters worse, the quality of service has been declining. Several times, I’ve ordered my favorite salad only to find key ingredients like chicken missing. To me, this reflects burnout among the staff—likely driven by a stressful and possibly toxic work environment created by poor management. It’s such an unfortunate situation—while the food is great, the tense and uncomfortable energy at this particular location often overshadows...
Read moreOne of the newer locations of this classic Los Angeles favorite foodie spot. This place is a monument to sandwich lovers and foodies in the LA area. This location has a very bright and open eating area and is just across from the Grove in what I call Hollywood proper. I recommend the Italian sandwich but so far everything I have had here is super tasty. Bottomless lemonade and really friendly service tops it off as number one on my list for lunch. If you cannot tell I am a real foodie. (My wife produced LXTV and or Luxury TV for NBC) so I have been to just about every restaurant in the area. I really cannot help it. In short you will love this place. Try the grape lemonade and the spicy aoili is to die for. -Steven
This review from Maria T. Sums it up
Such fresh complimenting flavors in every bite. I chose to seasonal peruvian steak sandwich...it was delicious from beginning to end. I also had the pleasure of trying their Chinese chicken salad and I must admit, its probably one of the best out there. The chicken is juicy, the toppings are plentiful and the dressing is a perfect balance of tangy sweet with a hint of spice. The other thing that makes this place outstanding is the customer service. Everyone is so friendly and I love that they have sample options available. The curry couscous is lights out amazing! Great texture, flavor and consistency. I will most definitely be coming back.
