Honestly just had the worst experience here just now, there is a Korean waitress that always, always ask for tips. A lady with a red bob, last time we went to this place with my mother she ended up tipping the only change in cash we had and the red head Korean lady ended up tossing the change onto the table claiming "she's not poor enough to accept this". Today we came in for another try, but again she does the same. I only carry card and not cash and this lady isn't satisfied with measly change so she ends up chasing us outside the store and starts stating that we have horrible manners in not tipping her or not tipping her enough and how every other restaurant will do the same. I end up letting her know that its not a legal obligation and she yells at us to never come back. I'm wondering if I can take any legal action or report this to any relevant place. P.S- I also told her I wanted to speak to her manager in regards to her inappropriate behavior in which she states that she is the manager so I'm wondering who the owner is so...
Read morewhat's better than cold kim chi on hot rice at 3 am. KFOOD--ahh, so good late at night. Open 24 Hours. and signs that say "BIENVENIDO". what more do you want?
ramen soup is flavorful. seasoned rice with bean sprouts doesn't sound very appetizing but is tasty in its simplicity. kalbi is about what you'd expect at a late night joint but it hits the spot when nowhere else is open.
word to the wise: bibim bap's a bit bland. kim chi fried rice topped with fried egg is bomb. yes, that's SPAM in there. language can be a barrier sometimes. thank goodness for picture menus--just point and grin.
a spicy Denny’s alternative after a night of dancing or cruising or whatever you crazy people do. definitely not much to look at but the early morning hours do lend the place character not readily appreciable during daylight hours. just be sure to share with a friend so you'll have someone to talk to afterwards through the...
Read moreAuthentic Korean food. I had the yukgaejang (spicy beef stew w/ clear noodles), galbigui (pan fried beef short ribs), steamed eggs, and makgeolli. Eomma was sooooo sweet, she lent me her apron since I wore a white blouse since she was afraid I'd stain my clothes.
I wanted cold buckwheat noodles with soup and dumplings but both were out. It was a hot day so that's expected.
I've never seen so many Korean and Hispanic regulars visit a homestyle Korean restaurant. It was a very cozy ambience.
Food was great! Stew wasn't salty, which is what you'd like when it comes to homestyle. Ribs were okayyyy (wasn't grilled). Steamed egg was a bit overdone but the kimchi tasted homemade. So that's a...
