I’ll start with the pros first: our server was friendly and service was prompt. reasonably priced for a steakhouse. ambiance and decor is nice without being stuffy, a great spot to bring a date. the 24 oz rib chop was a great cut of meat, tons of flavor and big enough to share. the temperatures on all of our steaks were correct.
Cons: the dry aged NY strip and the american Wagyu Ribeye were both sorely lacking the texture and flavor that you would expect from dry aged meat or Wagyu. on the topic of flavor, the menu touts that the steaks are cooked over a wood fire grill but there was an almost overwhelming “gas” flavor in these two steaks. The Wagyu was mostly uneaten because of it. the bacon confit add on was the absolute worst steakhouse bacon we have ever tried. All fat, not cooked down properly. Totally inedible. the sides weren’t necessarily bad but all of them were incredibly oily. Yes, I get that it’s a steak house, but I shouldn’t feel as heavy from eating a few spoonfuls of sides as I do from eating a steak. the hostess made an incredibly rude remark to us as we were seated. We were about 15 minutes late because there was an accident on the freeway as we were getting off, and reaching the entrance is a little confusing with the construction happening. As the hostess was preparing the menus she commented “thank you for getting here in a timely manner.” It was off putting and unprofessional. parking and entering was a hassle with the construction.
Overall verdict: pass unless there is something on the menu that you’re specifically interested in, or are looking to save a bit of money. There are better options in town if you’re willing to be a bit looser with...

Read moreWhat can I say? Nick + Stef's was the best steakhouse experience I've ever had. There are a lot of chain steakhouses that serve similar offering, but this restaurant knocks it out of the park.
The vibe feels upscale but incredibly friendly. We had an reservations and were seated immediately. Our waiter was funny, friendly, and had good reservations. He asked us if we had plans later that night, and was able to get us in and out in a reasonable amount of time. The service was my favorite part of the experience.
Then comes the food. The bread was fantastic. Think Fogo's bread, but lighter crispier, and so much more indulgent. We started off with the Wagyu to split and it was perfectly cooked for an A5. With it, you're paying for the quality of meat and you get it.
The mains were next, we both got the dry aged Ribeyes, which were the best Ribeyes I've had. The quality of the dry aging is top tier and even when I was totally engorged and couldn't eat another bite, I went back for more. There was no way either of us was going to leave that restaurant with steak on the plate.
Our sides were great too, we got the Mac and cheese and the potatoes gratin and they were just as indulgent. I really recommend the Mac and cheese.
Very happy to have spent my birthday at Nick + Stef's, not sure if I'll come back SOON, but I will come back when there is something worth celebrating. Thanks to the staff and folks who totally made...
