Their efficiency and attentiveness ensured a smooth entry, allowing us to dive right into the excitement without any delays or hassle. It was refreshing to encounter such welcoming staff who genuinely cared about creating a positive experience for their guests.
The ambiance at Poppy added an extra layer of magic to the night. The venue was elegantly decorated with a touch of whimsy, transporting us to a dreamlike world as soon as we stepped through the doors. The attention to detail was evident in every aspect, from the stylish furniture to the mesmerizing lighting that enhanced the overall atmosphere. Read moreI have been to many places around the world and this is by far the worst club I have ever been to in my entire life...the bartender fraudulently charged my credit card $1564.48. Faked a signature on the receipt.
Disclaimer, I have never felt the need to write a review before but in this case I felt it was valid to help warn future guests...
Anyways, heres the story and photo of receipt:
Back in Sept, I went with a few friends and asked to get a table with bottle service. They ended up putting us at the bar.... no table, no area, just a little section at the corner at the bar with a min of $1000 spending. The bartender then proceeded to laugh at us when I asked to be placed at an actual table.
After seeing this disrespectful customer service, we asked to get our card back and that we did not want to be placed here. They told us that we had to leave and we were okay with that. The bartender confirmed that we would not be charged and gave us our card back with a receipt that had a $0 balance.
However, a month later when I was looking at my statement, there was a charge from Poppy for $1564.48 on my account.
So... I ended up calling American Express and they contacted Poppy for us. Poppy replied back with a scanned copy of a receipt charged to our card with no items listed and a signature that resembled nothing like ours. Not even close, just a hasty attempt to make some sort of generic signature.
The staff at Poppy charged my card after we left and made a FAKE Signature on the receipt..... This is extremely illegal and I will be taking legal action towards this establishment and the server Avery who is on the receipt.
Highly recommend anyone to avoid this place at all costs...literally. There are so many better places in LA and you will have a much better time not going here.
Thank you and hopefully I save someone else from being...
Read moreALL MY BLACK FOLK BEWARE. It was my birthday i wanted to go to this club after dinner with my loved ones. I talked to my friend and gave me the phone number to contact the promoter to let me in with my friends. We had a deeply disappointing experience with a promoter called Joey. The promoter initially promised entry, but upon seeing that we are Black, the promoter went back inside, claiming he'd return in seconds to let us in. We waited for 30 minutes, but the promoter never came back. The door guy named Robbie has bachelor’s degree of racism. I mean he is the worst person in history. I literally wanted to fight him because he was so rude and disgusting. And mind you, I’m a very peaceful person. I’ve never been in a fight in my life, but I literally wanted to uppercut lol this man because of how he was treating us. This made us feel incredibly disrespected and discriminated against. This kind of behavior is unacceptable, smh i really can’t believe that racism is still going on shit is crazy. It was not my first time to go to this place. I went to this club twice and both times the only reason I got in because I was with the group of white girls. Hands down the most racist, aggressive, just overall rude, mean, nasty. Ugh. Bouncers and staff ever. If you’re black woman, if you’re woman of color, period, if you’re not skinny, if you’re a thicker girl, if you don’t know anyone inside, if you fall into any of those categories, you will not be let in. With that being said you will never catch me in this club. Unless maybe I’m getting paid to go there lol but even then, i just. I don’t think you would...
