Nightingale Plaza — Restaurant in Los Angeles

My friends and I were super excited to visit this establishment for the first time! Upon arrival, once we reach the bouncer, we were told “one second I have to filter through you guys.” That initially led to confusion as he left the first half of my group in, other women in, and after waiting about 10 minutes he let us in. It was then it was made clear that this nightclub determines top tier and second tier, and bottom tier based on physical attraction. As women who go out to have fun and to enjoy a vibrant environment and to be told “hold on we are going to let those who we think are prettier than you in first,” is the most blatant disrespect to have ever been received by an establishment and is the first and last time that that will be accepted. After that it was hard to have an enjoyable time here. While as a woman I value myself and do not need validation from a bouncer at a 3-star facility, it is unacceptable that this situation occurred and this is the basis of letting those who are willing to spend money and have a good time in. Devine. Davine. Or however it's spelt is a straight scammer.

We agreed on $1500 min for a table. They took our card and id at front door.

When we got in and ordered our first bottle.

They notified us we actually did not have a table and were also to be added on to Davine's table. On top of that. Our minimum was now $2700. The minimum is not a problem. However, The fact that we would not have a table even after spending this money is just ridiculous. Which at that point I asked the hostess how much is an actual table on its own without being an ad on. Which they refuse to answer my question. Actually, they did answer. And they said "Davine already told you what the minimum is" - at this point. Divine was just a coward glued into how blackberry and trying to avoid he situation. They all work in "kahoots" with each other to rip people off. I will be back. With my own table. I will also be making sure to buy a magnum bottle of Grey goose to pour out on someone...

After reading everyone's comments, which were extremely entertaining, I have to say that unless you have been going out in LA for a while and know the people working there you will wait in line or not even get in most likely unless you buy a table and even then if you don't have the "look" they might not even give you one! Nightingale is an amazing spot with great music and overall atmosphere. It's exactly what a club should feel and look like. It's a huge place that can acomodate a lot of people so you might have to wait a minute for a drink but that's normal, nothing to get upset about.
