Amazing desserts, pastries and bobas! Service is good! Always a line to order and most of the time it’s out the door. Tables are easier to get during the day and nearly impossible after the sun goes down. Busy from the minute they open up until the pull the tables away around 11:45pm (sometimes later).
• Green Tea Boba (served over ice) is light, refreshing & fun. Great for hot summer days! Taste is slightly sweet, rich, & a bit creamy. Every time I sip up a big tapioca ball I get so excited...it’s like a surprise party in my mouth :) The balls themselves are flavorless but the gummy texture is what’s fun.
• OMG the Oreo Cookie Cheesecake tastes like HEAVEN & def my weakness. It’s rich & creamy & has the perfect amount of chocolate cookie crust. The single, whole (real) Oreo cookie on the top is so good...way better than one right out of the box.
• Breakfast menu fav is the Bread Pudding with Caramelized Apples. I have a sweet tooth so this is right up my alley. *TIP: eat this at the restaurant rather than to-go or delivery, it just won’t taste the same if you do, especially since the milk is steamed.
• As for lunch & dinner, nothing has “wow”-ed me yet. I’ve been eating here for over 10 years and have yet to find something I like or even one that’s memorable, all have been flavorless for the most part. I usually have to overload on hot sauce, dressing, or S&P.
Today I ordered the Avocado Toast with sprouts, olive oil, Goat cheese, added Tomatoes (additional $2.10), on Multi-Grain bread. The goat cheese was the standout ingredient but I still had to add tabasco and garlic salt to give it flavor.
• Day & Night Atmosphere...huge difference! I live 1-1/2 blocks away and I drive by at least once a day and often several times a day. EVERY NIGHT (all 7 nights of the week) this place is PACKED! When the sun goes down the Persians come ‘round. Very lively and upbeat scene. There’s an overbearing smell of heavy colognes and perfumes...especially on the outside patio (yes, you read that right, “outside”). If you want a table during or after dinner time, try to arrive before 7pm otherwise good luck. Plan to wait in line to order your food/drinks for at least 20 minutes (it’s not on fault of the staff it’s just a ton of people waiting and their friends jumping in...
Read moreI love the outdoor seating. It is located on a corner where it looks very aesthetically pleasing. There’s a very small dining area inside as well. The line is always out the door continuously. We finally got a decent coffee after being in Universal City for the theme park. We ordered so much food. $120 worth of food for the both of us.
Amazon Rainforest Smoothie- mostly tastes like acai and bananas, like a smoothie I make at home.
Pistachio latte- the perfect sweetness and the perfect amount of pistachio flavor. SOOO deliciously made.
Latte- delicious
Italian cappuccino- less foam with more milk. Delicious.
Yes we each had 2 drinks. LOL!
They ran out of pistachio chocolate croissant and the Nutella girella bun. So I ordered a chocolate croissant- the most disappointing item today. It wasn’t buttery, airy, fluffy or chewy. It was stale and blah. $5 gone.
King French Toast- not worth it. It was a big brick of bread with lots of strawberries and blueberries around it. The French toast is a wet style type of French toast. It came with a little syrup cup. It was a simple French toast, nothing special that I could get anywhere. It just had a nice presentation.
Breakfast sausage side 2pcs- they were sooooooo juicy and flavorful. The breakfast sausages are worth it.
Poached salmon- so delicious. The multi grain bread tasted better than it looked. Eggs were poached perfectly and the salmon was nice and salty.
Salmon plate with onion bagel- the onion bagel was so much better than my chocolate croissant! The salmon and capers were perfect together. Cream cheese was whipped and fluffy. Roman tomatoes were very sweet. I loved eating half of my dish wrapped in the Romain lettuce and the other half in my onion bagel. So refreshing.
I would definitely come back again and try more items.
Parking sucks! Be patient...
Read moreThis place is absolutely wonderful great sandwiches, the lasagna vegetarian lasagna was very good. I had the tostada with chicken and lime they have another fish dish over salad which is fantastic, I can't recall the name of it right now but the star of the day for me was the coffee. We had the vanilla honey latte it was so good I took one to go. You normally, order your food and then they give you a number and then you go find a table, some people when there's multiple people in their party they try to find a table first and they don't really like that - they frown upon you doing that, they want you to have a table number before you sit down but it's been done and you know Earth didn't stop rotating. But expect a small wait, the dessert, all of the choices looked yummy. I had the apple pie my cousin had a chocolate chip cookie, he really wanted the bread pudding but they were out. I definitely recommend this place to anyone who wants to just get off the rollercoaster ride of life for an hour or so. I know I said it's crowded but you're still able to sit and chill for a while without the hustle and bustle of Los Angeles. All of the wait staff are fantastic from the bus boys that bring you water and maybe an extra napkin or the servers or the people that you order your food from inside, but not only the people that work there are fantastic but the people that go there, the customers are fantastic as well very sociable I saw a couple of women sitting eating and I couldn't really see what they were having, I went over and asked them what they had and they shared what they ordered. The environment is busy but comfortable, relaxing you...
