If you're looking for excellent quality sushi in the Hollywood area, whether it's dining in or taking out, look no further than Soregashi which is tucked away in a small shopping center on the corner of Highland and Santa Monica Blvd.
The wife and I usually dine in at Soregashi but after having a baby, eating at a a sushi restaurant, or almost any restaurant for that matter, with an infant that doesn't want to be quiet and stay still was just going to be too much to deal with so we decided to order take out.
Soregashi has a website for doing online orders and it's laid out in a way that's easy to navigate and includes pictures of less common dishes so you can see the finished dish. Just make sure you're going to the Soregashi site, https://www.soregashiorder.com/ because other web order services will charge you a "convenience fee." Plus, if you can get points that can add up towards discounts on future orders.

Decided to give this place another try after a few years. Unfortunately, it got more expensive, and the food quality did not improve... The prices are on par or even higher than our very favorite sushi restaurants in Little Tokyo, and the quality is nowhere near it. Also, the service wasn't great. Overall the experience is simply not worth the money...

I literally had to add boiled water to it to be able to eat it. Also ordered shrimp shumai ( not only was the portion tiny, but overall it was nasty.)
