I used to live in the Hollywood area, but much has changed, and I've been having to go there frequently lately. Sometimes I have long gaps between meetings and I try to find independent coffee shops to support by grabbing a bite, have some caffeine, and get some work during these times. I've been frustrated because my online searches never turned up good places that fit the bill. This morning, I was persistent and knew there had to be one. The reviews for Liberation were great and the pictures appeared to be what I was looking for. It turned out to be exactly as described. I was also thrilled to discover it's part of the Los Angeles LGBT Center. A place I can't express its importance in my past.
The breakfast burrito was delicious, the latte was great, and the service was outstanding. The shop itself was clean, comfortable, and relaxing. Whether I have time sit or need to grab a quick coffee on the run, I know where I'll be going...

I had my car at a local shop for a tune-up, and while I waited, I found my way over to Liberation Coffee House.
It is housed in the LGBT building, and it is a very welcoming and lovely place to spend some time. The ambiance is colorful and creative. The employees are friendly and helpful. It also seemed to be a pretty popular spot, which was nice to see. I was there for an hour, and they had a steady crowd the entire time.
The latte I had was perfect. They have a nice cafe style menu, but I wasn't too hungry, and I was drawn to the savory scone on their menu. It was a great pick and hit the spot. It also made me wish more places had savory scones.
I don't know about parking since I walked over from my mechanic. I definitely will stop and enjoy Liberation when I'm getting my car looked at or when I'm...

The employees seem to have a lot of tension between them, and I witnessed one white woman borderline yelling at another employee about something completely banal which seemed like a total overreaction if you ask me. I left pretty quickly after because it made me extremely uncomfortable to witness someone getting harassed at work. Food & drink was good, but hope management figures this out because I don't think I'll be...
