Isshin Ramen & Boba — Restaurant in Los Angeles

If you're looking for ambience, you're not gonna get it here. But for a hot, yummy, delicious, and reasonable bowl of ramen, this is the place. Since the day when I realized that I've been ripped off at Tatsu Ramen for a lousy bowl that cost $17, enough was enough. I searched and found this place. Turned out it was closer, easier to park, and cheaper. And that was a big bowl of Shoyu and Tonkotsu. The only one thing I wished that was different is that I'd have preferred stewed egg instead of just boiled. Come support them and enjoy the meal! 🤤😊

03/26/23 Came back today for another bowl and got my wish answered. They have build your bowl option now (ot maybe I didn't see that option last time) so I got a Shoyu bowl with shrimp tempura. Exceptional. The broth was spicy but just spicy enough. They have other options for less spice for non adventurous people. The noodles were cooked perfectly and soaked up the rich broth. The bamboo had a nice subtle crunch. The mushrooms worked well with everything. The pork was cooked as well as you could cook it. The fat rendered well and left a very good pork flavor without the struggle to eat it cause it melted. The egg was cooked perfectly as well, I like to dip the pork into the egg yolk then put the broth in the egg to eat it. Everything was just perfect. And first time trying Boba, I enjoy it in small amounts but I think it was because the caramel tea was so good I didn’t want to take away from how the tea tasted. Great spot. Affordable....

My group of 10 came by here around midnight after a concert, and I could tell that the kind man who was behind the counter was caught off guard to see such a big group walk in, inevitably interrupting the calm ambiance that was going before we arrived. Despite our group being so large, the man kept such a friendly and polite attitude toward all of us the whole time, and served all of us in a timely manner.
