Varilla Pizza and Pasta — Restaurant in Los Angeles

You can't expect perfection from anyone or anything, because nothing is perfect. What you can hope for is an experience that exceeds your expectations, that rectifies any problems, and that truly gives you a sense that they care more about just money. And that is exactly what proper did!! there's an issue with their online ordering system, some of the stuff is not able to be ordered for delivery, some of the stuff is no longer available, but, as soon as I made my order, they called me, they fixed the situationm they went above and beyond, they under promised and overdelivered!! Being from Chicago I definitely have expectations on pizza. more than anything it's about the flavor regardless of the thinnest or thickness of the crust, deepness or undeepness, if that's even a word, of the dish itself and proper pizza and pasta definitely turn their flavors up to an 11!! The garlic knots were so garlicky, the truffle fries were so truffley, and really the best combination of flavors that I have tasted in a pizza in a while is the proper pizza, even though it wasn't on the fresh mozzarella, it was on the shredded, but even still, with that, it was an amazing combination of flavors that I would recommend to...

I was craving pizza so I walked over to proper pizza to see how proper was their pizzeria.

Recently they renovated the sight outside.

When walked in at first glance it's cute,with a giant pasta sign, but when you sit there to dine in to get drowned in red.

The place was quiet loud for being empty. There was 2 TVs which were playing two different things, you could hear one TV blasting, and there was also a loud music being played.

On to the food. Based on their photos their garlic knots are huge, but it comes in order of 6 only.

On the slice pizza section, they didn't have veggie pizza.

I got the margarita and the cheese slice.

The tomato sauce on the margarita pizza was too acidic.

The cheese slice was better.

The crust had a nice hold to it, but had zero flavor to it. It was the most flavorless crust I have had in a long time.

They had a cool self service tablet, but unfortunately it's not set up to order slice pizza.😬😵

Customer service was meh.

They had good quality napkins on...

Ordered a Brooklyn style pizza online and was given Margherita style. I found out once I was home so I called to let them know. They told me that this is their take on Brooklyn style. I don’t know what Brooklyn this is from cause it’s not New York. The Margherita pizza was also cold and they might have given me something another customer cancelled to not lose money. You’d think the guy I talked to would try to give me another pie since I was dissatisfied with my order but he just told that’s the way they make their Brooklyn style. (the picture I attached is NOT Brooklyn style)
