Mighty Mac Hamburgers — Restaurant in Mackinac Island

We wanted a quick bite to eat to get us through till dinner. They weren't very busy yet and went in. Its a nice place, clean and for the most part, updated. One of the beverage machines were out of order and left that area a bit clogged and overcrowded but not unbearable during our visit but I could see it getting crazy when they get busy. We got the Mushroom swiss burger and the chili cheese fries. Fries were good, crispy and tasty, however the chili and cheese were decent, not great, both processed style toppings. The burger was above average, much better than any fast food chain and more like a decent to good resturant quality burger. Lets put it this way, we split the meal as we only wanted quick bite, but it left me wanting more(thats a good thing). Price was a bit high but expected and about on par for being on the island and obviously not a factor on my total 5 star review! Keep up...

I usually get breakfast here and honestly today was the worst. The guy who brought it out to me complained cuz I told him what he told me for the price was off. Any other time I get breakfast from there I always get the same thing and pay the same price. 5$ that's what honestly kept me coming back for more breakfast good food and cheap. Yesterday I ordered lunch from there cheeseburger just ketchup. What do I get over charged and a burger with cheese lettuce onion tomato mayo and mustard. See if I ever buy food from there again. No quarrels with the food—burger was good, fries were good. Not a terrible value compared to most places on the island. Most of the staff was friendly too. The kid with facial piercings operating the register, however, was extremely unfriendly. No greeting, no smile—just stared blankly at me like my presence was bothersome.

And to the kid who waited on me, on the off chance you ever see this: we’ve all worked customer service jobs. I worked at Meijer for nearly a decade, so I know how unpleasant customer-facing work can be. But you could still show a modicum of friendliness; many of the people you're serving were in your shoes at one point in their lives. Food...
