Sanders on Mackinac — Restaurant in Mackinac Island

We had a couple of blueberry affogatos and one of their "coolicious" Mackinac Fudge coffee drinks. They were delicious! We would definitely get them again, and did opt to get a bag of the blueberry coffee, which came with a free slice of their blueberry chocolate fudge. The blueberry coffee went great with the blueberry cobbler ice cream, and was also good on its own - the flavor isn't as strong as some other blueberry coffees I've had, but it's present and not overpowering.

Overall, it was pretty busy, but we didn't have to wait long to be served and we were happy with the items we got. The only thing that would've been nice is if there was somewhere to sit in or near the shop; we had someone with mobility issues in our party, and we ended up having to cross the street to find a bench they could sit at to enjoy their drink. There was a poster behind the counter that said "buy two slices of fudge, get a large bag of popcorn for free". When we asked about it, the employee said she had never heard of it. We asked her to ask someone else, who also didn't know about it. They asked the manager who said it was old and "we don't really do that anymore". I told her they should honor it or take it down, she couldn't ever give me a straight answer and started ignoring the topic. Sanders has always been our go to spot for ice cream on the island but our visit last week was very disappointing! The staff were clearly not happy to be working there. They no longer will offer samples of ice cream. Without a sample I asked about one and the employee was honest that it wasn’t good. The mom in front of us ordered a single scoop cone for A kid and received a tiny bit of ice cream (no where near a full scoop). She was notably surprised by its size so the employee asked if she wanted a double. The 2nd scoop was much larger and was still charged for a double scoop. Very...
