Absolutely delicious pizza served at a joint settled in the center of the main city with friendly workers and a manager who actually cares how the customers like the food.
I came here after reading all the positive Google reviews, with some even saying this is the best pizza they ever had. I kid you not, while waiting for our food, I literally heard a couple behind us exclaim to the manager after he came to ask them how their food was: “this is the best pizza we’ve ever had.” So yeah, people are actually saying this! I’ve had better pizza, but this was for sure top 5.
They have small to XL pizzas with several options or you can create your own. For our Nik n Wild Willie’s pizza, everything was cooked perfectly and they made sure to lather even the closest part of the crust with sauce so you didn’t just end up with a breadstick at the end of your slice. The sandwiches were hot and the bread was soft yet crunchy. We also got four fountain drinks (each $1.50) with an unlimited refill fountain next to the seating area. For an XL pizza, 2 sandwiches, and 4 drinks we spent $69.50. Not bad at all considering the quality of food, cleanliness of the establishment, and friendliness of the service. I’d absolutely come here again if I return to Mammoth!
Miscellaneous: they sell beer, but in bottles from their refrigerator. There is one all-gender restroom inside. There is plenty of parking outside. There are plenty of indoor and outdoor...
Read moreI looked up pizza delivery in Mammoth and Nik-N-Willie’s was a recommendation. I called and asked about delivery on a Monday, but they said the service just ended at 6. I still placed my order and got the cheese pizza and 10 BBQ wings. It would be ready in 20 minutes.
The parking lot was packed, but it didn’t seem like any patrons were eating in except one family. I had to park a couple of stores over…maybe the vape shop or neighboring bar had all the patrons.
I was able to find a spot which looked like it blocked some back alley to the dumpster figuring I would be in and out with my carry out order.
I walked in and pizza was ready, I had to wait for the wings. The medium had 8 slices a s I got 10 wings with a decent container of ranch and some carrots. Total was $33 and change including tax. They have packets of Parmesan cheese a s red chili flakes.
Pizza was tasty as well as the wings. Totally hit the spot after a day on the slopes. Lots of sauce in the pizza and the crust was perfect. Wings were not over saucy and pretty big in size.
I’m giving 4 stars because it was listed as delivery, but I had to drive and pick up for carry out. By the time I got back 1.5 miles the wings were room temp and pizza was just barely warm, granted it is cold outside but I had the...
Read moreThere are figuratively tons of pizza places in the Mammoth Ski area for some reason. I guess boarders and skiers really love their pizza, and why wouldn't they, it's so easy and cheesy. Forget the Papa's, the Dom's, and the Caesar's, if you are driving a billion miles to be in Mammoth, you should be trying the Mammoth fare. Nik-N-Willie's comes to mind and it's as local as it gets.
This place is small, but not too small. A party of greater than 4 would probably have trouble eating here, but it's certainly doable with their 4 or 5 tables. There are like 2 beers on tap, but they sell bottles as well. After trying some of their soups and garlic bread, definitely just come here for the pizza. Didn't try the sandwiches though.
-=-Makin' Bacon Large Pizza-=- I had a taste of the supreme pizza, but I thought it was a bit on the crowded side where the thing just fell apart. The Bacon pizza though was pretty bacon-y cheesy. 2 large pizzas was enough to feed 6 of us. Somehow shredded bacon as a topping disburses the saltiness. Yes, I am a sucker for bacon. Cheese was overdone too so if you're not into that, then you're not into this. I dipped it in ranch and was on my merry way back to the slopes. Pizza always hits the spot. Time to...
