Been here a couple of times and although they are a good fix for milk tea/bobba cravings, they are a bit pricey for what they offer and some flavors can be a miss. Don’t get me wrong- the place is nice with all its chill deco and awesome staff. But I’ve had the best bobba before and it didn’t cost me 6$ all the time. Haha. One regular drink will run you at least 5-6 dollars (with taxes), I think they have a coffee flavor that was 7$)— which I think is pretty high considering what you can actually get for $6 somewhere else... but it’s bobba so... take my money! Lol). The bobba is uhmm... Not that gooey-chewy that I always crave/hope for— which was always a let down. I’m not sure if I had a bad batch every time I come. Oh well. I wish they offer rewards program tho (I think it’s a bit odd considering that there’s also a lot of gong cha around DMV area & I feel that they can generate more people with rewards program like what Kung fu tea did). I’m all for supporting local biz and asian food, so I’ll def come just to have my bobba fix since it’s close and convenient.
Also, just a suggestion since we generate so much plastic cups, covers, and straw for our bobba addiction, maybe offer a reusable bobba cup/ metal straw for purchase (and have .50 off every time someone brings a reusable cup bought from your store or not) And if you’re worried about contamination, staff can have a reusable mixer (of different sizes) that they can use to mix the tea & just pour it to the customer’s reusable container. We can satisfy our cravings while being less mean to Mother Nature.
P.S. their eggos are amazing tho....
Read moreManagement was very rude to employees, spoiling my experience.
I recently came here while visiting family in Towson. I ordered the milk tea with pearl and the employee taking my order was fantastic. Very knowledgeable and kind - great customer service! The reason for my poor review is because I take issue with the manager who has orange hair.
While I was waiting for my drink to come, I overhead the orange haired manager being very demeaning to the younger employees. She also raised her voice at the employees and was very impatient towards them. I felt so disturbed.
I felt disgusted that an older woman would treat her juniors like this. My observed interaction of the manager and the employees demonstrates that that she lacks empathy. The poor employees were clearly overworked and underpaid - I want to support businesses that care about the wellbeing of their employees. I could not even enjoy my drink, as the manager's attitude tainted my experience. Please support independent bubble tea...
Read moreIt was my first time. There are a LOT of choices so it was over welming but they gave me a paper menu to look at as well as they have a numbered list of their most popular drinks. I wasn't aware but the drink I pointed at had three different "toppings". They let me try two of the three I've had the tapioca balls before so I didn't try them. They said they put brown sugar in them vs other stores they use honey or other sweetners. The pudding/custard (the guy called it pudding but I think it's technically a custard) has the consistency of flan without all the extra sauce. As for the tea I got earl grey something I knew. They called it a milk drink. Which in fact doesn't have lactose but the coconut milk does. I'm not going to get into it all. If your lactose sensitive, ask which are safe. Not all can be substituted. All in all great services next time I'll probably get it with out all extras, I love chi tea so it might be...
