Cold Stone Creamery — Restaurant in Maryland

Im rating them low because I stopped by this coldstone on a snow day and ofc I don't know they would be closing early, which look I get why they would I work at Starbucks I work in the industry I understand. The point is it was lightly snowing business was going extremely slow and they shouldn't wait out a light snow for business so I get it like I do but the problem I had was it was a sign on the door stating "Due to weather we are closing at 5" I walked In at 4:50pm before I could even get through the door she says " I'm sorry we're closed" with the most smug smirk on her face. It pissed me off as much as I wanted to argue the fact that it's 4:50pm your poorly written sign on the door says 5. I should be your last customer but also if you was closed you should've locked the door which you didn't because your trying to leave the impression to your manager that you stayed open but it's on camera that you sent me away before I could get in the door at 4:50pm when you close at 5:00pm, Like I said I work in the industry I understand but you always honor a customer in shop in the last 10 minutes if it was 5 that's different. I hope she gets fired if you don't wanna do the mediocre job to pay for your iphone 12 lifestyle and no other bills then a get a different lazy job it's plenty out there for those type in their 20's simple as that. This location is supposed to close at 11. We got there at 10:47 just for a quick run. The doors were locked and they were not letting anyone in. There were people standing outside when we got there as well. One worker came to the door and said they were closed and that the manager said they were no longer severing. We asked why they closed before their closing time and they said they were already prepping for the next day. Why are they prepping for the next day before the actual closing time? Shouldn’t they have stopping serving ice cream at 11 and then clean up and prep after closing time? Trying to go home early probably. As we were inquiring, more customers were coming to get some ice cream too since it was not yet 11. The manager ended up coming to the door saying they had turned off all their machines and the ice cream was melted. Mind you, it still was not 11. None of us were angry or irate but just very confused as to how they can just decide they want to close more than 10 mins early, especially on a Saturday night. Im sure they should not...

Great ice cream as always. This place wasn’t as busy as the other place we visited in Maryland the week we visited and we preferred that. They did not have the wild blueberry muffin ice cream though. I got the Dough-lightful Peanut Butter without sugar crystals. I love this flavor and every now and then I will try something else but since they got this flavor (I believe it was new starting in 2019) this is my go-to. This location had places to sit inside and outside as well as a public bathroom. There were plenty of trash cans outside to throw away your cups after eating. Plenty of parking in the parking lot. This Cold Stone is located in a strip mall and they have other places to eat (Panera Bread for example), places to shop, grocery store, a bank, etc. It is located close to the Arundel Mills mall.
