My teenagers wanted Chipotle for dinner so we tried it for the first time. It was a horrible experience. We each got a burrito. The restaurant had no ice so we had to buy bottled drinks. We were eating there, they gave us no basket just the burrito. I wanted to order a sIde of chips and queso, asked the girl if it's enough to share, she said a large would be, so I had her add it. She hollered the order for chips and queso at someone so I thought we were waiting for it, sat down and started eating. I had to go up to have the Sprite bottle opened, still no chips and queso at the counter waiting. They did get a little busy at the counter. I ate half my burrito and went up when the rush had passed to ask where my chips and queso are. THEY REFUSED TO GIVE ME ANY. They demanded my receipt which the girl never gave me. I said, I have been dining right there and pointed at the table, can't you look it up? This tall round faced boy yells at me demanding to know what we ordered, I repeat it to him. The girl who didn't give me a receipt and made my burrito suddenly has amnesia about our entire $60 order and yells that she gave me a receipt, which she did not. (Not sure how she can't remember the order but she insists she gave me a receipt?) Was she afraid? AGAIN, why can't you look it up? We have been eating right here, we never left. They screwed up my order but then have the audacity to treat me like garbage? It's perfectly okay if you make mistakes, but you should never abuse eachother or the customer for it. It was the strangest most awful scene. The tall boy finally gave me the chips and queso and admonished me for not having the receipt and told me it was my responsibility to get my receipt from them next time. Uhm. Nope. There won't be a next time. That was the WORST SERVICE I HAVE HAD IN YEARS! There's no way in hell I will ever waste my money here again. The food was not worth $60 at all and they treat eachother and the customers...
Read moreI have never eaten at a Chipotle. Today Saturday March 22nd 2025 approximately 3 pm. I saw an advertisement on TV for a new chicken item and it looked good. So I searched for the nearest Chipotle and drove there. The windows were dark I couldn't see inside, the place looked like it was closed. As I was about to leave someone pulled into the parking lot and opened the door, so I parked and make my way inside. Someone was at the counter and it appeared they were paying somehow that required management participation. As soon as that was done I asked the manager why no open sigh, I thought the place was closed. The manager replied with, Chipotle doesn't use open signs because everybody knows we are open. I didn't say it out loud but thought, well I guess I'm nobody because I was just about to leave the store that had no cars parked in front of it, no open signs and dark tinted windows, all indications that I wasn't going to be eating here. I did say out loud that I thought the place was closed. Then he says, so what do you want as if he had more important things to do. I hesitated to answer as I considered this interaction, then turned to leave letting him know that I was going with my first impression that this place is in fact closed. Then I went someplace that was obviously open and was communicated with as an equal instead of a ignorant nobody. So here's the thing, perception, first impression has great value. I can not imagine that I am the first and only human that was driving away from a place that appeared closed. As my opening line stated, I have never eaten at a Chipotle, and after my first interaction with a pompous donkey of a manager I feel safe saying I won't be doing so anytime soon. I haven't bothered to check but I wouldn't be surprised if Chipotle isn't on the soon to file bankruptcy and close...
Read moreSo we recently moved to the Arlington area and decided to try out Chipotle. The outside of the restaurant looked nice so we went in. We pushed the door open, and one of the long vertical handles was broken and was flopping on the door. We found out a customer had broken the handle but were shocked it wasn't temporarily secured or at the very least, a sign wasn't put on the door to let you know it was broken. We walked up to the counter and were greeted by a young woman who seemed a bit annoyed to answer our questions about how their food line worked. I finally ended up telling her we were Chipolte newbies. She also neglected to tell us that some of the items added were a pretty speedy up charge. Another lady behind the counter was preparing call in orders and she put food in this microwave that had the top of the microwave hanging down.(is it a good thing to have a microwave in that sort of disrepair? Is my skin glowing in the dark?) We paid for our order and had to ask where to get our beverages, which were not in view from the cash register. We noticed one of the juice dispensers was missing/broken. (Are we seeing a theme here?) We finally sat down. The food was pretty good; a definite upgrade from Taco Bell. It tasted fresh. We felt the cost was a little high because of the add-on, but we received quite a bit of food. So the final question is... will we go back? We are kind of on the fence. The food is pretty good, but the service could be better, especially for newbies and the disrepair needs to...
