My husband and I went here about 7pm on Friday night. In the edge of a strip mall this place looks just like a hole in the wall bar. We decided to give it a try. Inside was devided into a bar on one side and a very small restaurant on the other. We stood there for 3-5 minutes before being sat in the last empty table-12 tables max! All of the waitresses and the hostess were very friendly and knowledgeable of the menu. There was a lot of selections from steaks, prime rib, fresh fish, and sea food. I ordered a new your strip, salad, baked potato, and green beans with a cup of French onion soup. The steak had little fat, was tender, and cooked to perfection, but lacked flavor- I salted it and used steak sauce and was pleased. Green beans were from a can with no seasoning at all- again, a little salt and pepper- but could be better. Baked potato was good but not a lot of butter and sour cream- I added more this afternoon for lunch. French onion soup was deliciously flavored, full of onion, and the bread was tasty. Only way it could be better is more cheese- but there was a good amount- I am not complaining. I took bread pudding home. It was thick and a generous portion. It was just Okay. I like mine with raisins and a little softer, but their sauce was to die for. The place was well lit, yet not bright, cozy, impressively clean (including the bathroom), and the temperature was set just right. My husband ordered the same as I but instead of water he had a glass of wine, and he passed on dessert. Our bill was only $70. That's amazing for 14 ounce New York strip steaks with little fat. We will surely be back to...
Read moreDecided to give this place a shot on Friday. So we sat at the bar and Brenda was our bartender. We ordered a couple drinks and it took 10 minutes to get when there is only 4 people in the restaraunt. We then ordered the prime rib which she said was excellent and on special for $20. I ordered my prime rib rare. When our dinners came out my prime rib was medium well and looked like they put it in the microwave. When I told her about it she said it was the very first piece cut from the roast. First off why would you give someone a end cut when they worded it rare. Secondly we all know a rare piece is cut from the center. The prime rib actually looked like they put it in the microwave. The flavor was good but it's so crucial to not overcook it. To top off the whole night she ended up charging us full price instead of the special price. I was thinking about giving it a second chance but not after being overcharged too. For a family ran business I don't understand how it has been around...
Read moreThe Rib Cage, small little restaurant with all tables, so big guy seating approved. But that's where the good stops. We went on a Saterday at 5 30pm. they are open from 5pm-830pm. They were out of the calamari, for most items on the menu it says comes with two sides, they only have 3 to choose from, stewed tomatoes green beans or asparagus they ran out of asparagus at 6 p.m. The waitress, although very nice, was not very good. I got a filet medium. it was so blue I had to send it back, and I never said anything back. Everything was cold and it was very expensive for what you got. I hate to come on here and leave a bad review but I just have to be honest with my experience I don't see it staying open much longer with this management also I heard from other tables as they ordered, a lot of stuff on the menu, they were out of. I wanted it to be so much better. It's just not up to par with other restaurants at that...
