1st time experience… I’ve wanted to enjoy this yummy food & mimosas for a while. I hate crowds & finally had time on a slow day.
Host & (Server Jaya) they provided great Customer Service - 5 🌟 I was greeted immediately by the host who was friendly, welcomed me a warm smile, & showed me to a table immediately. My server Jaya - explained she was in training with another server who also shared info about menu items & made me feel confident I wouldn’t be disappointed with the catfish breakfast instead of chicken & waffles. I asked if I needed to ask for extra crispy & I wanted it à la carte… to ensure it’s crispy. I ordered the catfish breakfast & wanted a Tropical Mimosa while I waited… only to be advised by the server they don’t have a liquor license but should shorty. Definitely a disappointment considering drinks are shown in the reviews. Normally I would go elsewhere but I stayed for the delicious food.
Meal Quality -overall -0 🌟 I was told the grits were Parmesan flavored & delicious (LIES) came with a biscuit - (LIES) later told they didn’t have any & sub’d 1 crispy corner of a waffle, I was told the catfish was well seasoned & crispy - (THE BIGGEST LIE) the catfish was VERY SALTY, very weirdly oily/ slightly soggy. It almost looked pretty on the plate but I saw the weird liquid on the plate & HOPED it wasn’t as bad as it was. I was desperate & put a couple of napkins under the fish to soak up the liquid/oil but I could barely enjoy the catfish. It should be a shame to serve less than delicious food for the prices we pay today. The best part of this awful food was the eggs… they were good but I had to force myself to eat something. My server was so sweet & new… I didn’t want to disappoint her especially while in training & make it an issue. Clearly the only thing this place CARES about is collecting your funds for this lack luster food. Wait.. what- you want to know about the grits… I said (LIES) I can’t explain the flavor expect to say they were discolored, watery, bad aftertaste. I barely took 2 little nibbles just to make sure they were as horrible as I thought. I must have missed the good times when the food & drinks were RAVE worthy!

Read moreMe and a friend arrived for brunch around 11ish and were told of a wait of about 30 mins. We were seated a little before noon. The waitress arrived about 3 mins later to take our drink orders and then a few mins later to take our food orders. We both ordered the chicken and waffles.My friend and I were catching up as I was only in town for the weekend and haven't seen her in a while. We were enjoying our conversation so much that we didn't realize the waitress never came back. We have been waiting over 30 mins for our food. We looked around and saw that people who arrived after us were already eating. The waitress finally stopped by to see that we never received our food and said that she is going to check for it. She comes back about 5 mins later to say that our order was lost in translation as the kitchen never received it and she needs a reminder of what we ordered so they can prepare it quickly. She said that orders get lost all the time and that they are having issues with their systems. By the time our food arrived we were there for over an hour. We had to ask for a box as we had other plans we needed to get to. It took about 10 mins for the waitress to bring our check. We asked for compensation for the inconvenience. The waitress said she can't do anything about it but she can ask the manager. I got up a few mins later to use the restroom and I over heard the waitress talking to the manager telling her that a table is asking for compensation. She was like why in a very aggravated tone. The waitress responds, "well they were upset that their food took a little minute to come out." There was no accountability on her part which made me politely interrupt their conversation. I explained to the manager everything that transpired about our order being lost and the time it took for it to even be figured out. The manager said she will meet us at our table only to tell us that we would have to combine our tickets and the most she can take off is 10%. We received 4$ off our order for the inconvenience and the bad service. I loved this place and anytime I would travel to this area I would stop to grab food. Read moreI walked through the doors in a great space excited to get some fish and waffles to go and it was the most humiliating experience i have ever had. I waited 15 minute to order no problem However after ordering my food at 10:59 by 11:45 still no food. The woman who took my order siaf to me at the 20 minutes mark they were working on my food but as you can see that never happened. So i walked up to a waitress and asked if she could assist me with a refund but she was unsure how that works... 9 Clearly a need for client service training) Finally she went to the woman at the bar and shared my experience. Now here is the kicker... They immediately agreed to give me a refund without interjecting any form of management to show emapthy towards my experience. However to no surprise as I waited for the refund I waited another 10 minutes without being addressed or apologized to. So I walked back to the original lady that i asked to assist me with the refund and she stated and I quote" Oh I thought she helped you I told her your issue" WOW.... So I said maam if this is the treatment Im getting please keep the money because i cant spend another minute in this insane loud music playing place..... I walk out and the bar keep storms behind me out doors now and I thought she was about to say " Sir we apologize for your experience here is your food and we are willing to refund your money....... LOL here is where the shw really gets good...... Instead she tells me she was going to help me she needed to take care of her customers first cause and I quote" Im the oney one at the bar and I can only take one customer at a time but you chose to leave before i could help you" 55 minutes in and this is what I get. I will never ever ever walk through their doors again. I was planning on using them for a mens retreat Im leading but never now! This was the epitome of an organization who doesn't understand you're not just selling food but you're also selling service! Oh byt the way they still have my money because the bar person stormed off and said to me that she's not dealing with this matter anymore i can do whatever i want to do! Oh and they have my phone number because the phone number is attached to the order and still never called me.......... terrible terrible terrible and i hate that i ever went...
