Have you ever walked in to a restaurant, been hit by a smell and immediately started salivating? Because that's what happened to me today- My partner and I have been wanting a good salad restaurant, especially because for whatever reason I kept getting food poisoning from salad and go. He found this restaurant, and we decided to head over and see what it was like. The overwhelming and absolutely mouthwatering scent of teriyaki chicken cooking on a stove top hit me like a truck, and the owner explained it's like a secret menu item- teriyaki chicken with the mandarin salad? DELICIOUS. EVERY aspect, each ingredient is clearly there to elevate the other flavors. The sauce added just the right amount of creaminess and smooth, almost sweet flavors that matched with the orange. The celery root (which he explained is cut in a specific way to reduce bitterness) popped and added a beautiful accent flavor I can't quite describe to the leafy greens, which were all fresh and crisp, no wilting anywhere to be seen. Their Green chile Mac? ALSO AMAZING, they don't have an overwhelming cheese sauce, noodles perfectly done, cojita cheese that's sprinkled on just so to counteract some of the spice while still preserving the gorgeous flavors that pop through?
The other issue we normally find at OTHER places, there's only one or two items we like and that's all we order. Here? Everything looked amazing, we are going to make sure to have every item on that menu and keep coming back for more.
Overall, if you want to see a restaurant with amazing food, a chef who cares and clearly knows about and respects his ingredients, and a cute place to go on a small date, this place is it. Amazing food, cozy atmosphere, funny posters, and hats that look amazing! Final positive? My meal, with a drink and added? $13, the whole meal including tax for my partner's Mac and his drink? $30. For how much quality food you get, this almost feels too good and too reasonable to be true! And that's the best thing to see in a restaurant, a person who cares more about providing a good eating experience than taking as much in profits as he could, because you know other restaurants would easily charge $20 for the salad alone. It's reasonable, amazing, and just overall a perfect place to eat....

I ordered the BBQ Mac and Cheese without steak bites due to a health condition, they said no problem, they even discounted it ever so slightly to account for no steak, which was nice of them. I had everything else in there and it was delicious.
I usually take a before picture but this time it looked so good that I forgot until a quarter of the way through my meal. I also ordered a Strawberry Basil lemonade and it was slamming, highly recommend. They had a few other lemonade flavors as well - all freshly made. The food looked amazing, I'll have to go back in the future to get a nice before picture, take a look at the other photos and you'll see what I mean. Great presentation and great ingredients at an exceptional value.
There are several seating options inside, tables with padded chairs that move, there's also two tables against the wall in a half booth/table configuration - the booth surface is sunken slightly but comfortable. The bathroom(s) are configured the same and both are very accessible, easy wheelchair accessible single person restrooms.
Very clean and modern design, I talked with the owner Jimmy G for awhile, great guy, great personality, great professionalism, and I spoke with Reed as well, an employee, very friendly.
I noticed a lot of people do pickup orders and food delivery orders during my time eating mac and cheese. A few people stopped in to eat as well, seemed slow at the time, which is all fine by me. The portion size was perfect, not too small, not too big, just right.
I had a great time eating mac and cheese at Jimmy G's.
5/9/2025 - Went back with family, added some new pictures (:
-One small feedback suggestion- When an SUV parked out front the glare from the windshield was shooting straight into my left eye from where I was sitting. I would suggest something like blinds, or even a tint that cuts the glare but doesn't make it dark. Like a polarized tint to cut glare from...

My friend had been telling me for months that Jimmy G's was his favorite place for salad. Time to time, he'd even send me a photo of what he was eating. While I gotta admit, every item he's ever shown me had looked delicious, I'm all about this drive-thru salad concept that's about half-a-mile away. Enough is enough though. I wanted to give Jimmy G's a shot and I'm sooo glad I did. What I've tried so far:
Green Chile Chicken Mac ($12 - Mac & Cheese with cotija cheese crumbles and chicken): If you're a fan of green chile, your skirt will flip over this pasta dish. It's everything you want: Carbs, cheese, spice, and some protein.
Roasted Veggie & Fruit Salad with Steak added($8 + $3 - Mixed greens, roasted brussel sprouts, broccoli, dried cranberries, walnuts, strawberries, and spinach tossed in a raspberry vinaigrette + steak): I added steak purely because that's how my friend orders it. I figured I'd give his favorite salad a try and it was good! Crisp fresh salad, a sweet vinaigrette, and the steak was cooked to perfection. And who doesn't love the tiny cabbage that is a brussel sprout?
5 out of 5, I really enjoyed this place. And being that they're right next to my favorite post-workout smoothie shop, I think I'll be adding this place to the rotation. I definitely prefer the pasta over the...
