I visited this restaurant for the first time with my girlfriend Thursday 06/13/24. And the experience was horrible. The manager is the reason for this review. He needs to be fired immediately. He is the reason for this review. We walked in and the host advertised 2 for 1 happy hour specials if we sit by the bar. I confirmed this special with the server so ordered a glass of wine each. (2 different wines both white but were same price) Along with 70$ worth of food. The food was pricey and not worth what they charge. Better off going to a real Italian restaurant like prima pasta . The food was okay not great and not worth the price. The server and manager try scamming their own customers by not informing the details of the happy hour specials, that the deal requires you to get 2 of the same exact glasses. Even after confirming with the bartender/server that the special applies to any wines. The host, server did not explain anything at all but it could have been a simple mis communication on the employees end. The server was confused when I said why did you not explain the details of the happy hour when I asked him when I got the check. He had no words he stayed quite. I said bring the manager I want to speak with them. The manager came and asked what’s wrong. I said there was no communication on the happy hour special I asked server if we can use deal on the wines and he said yes of course. Only to find out we were charged for both wines. (11$) now here is the problem. The attitude of the manager is unacceptable. I myself work in hospitality and this is by far unacceptable what happened. The manager says with an attitude so what do you want? To take one if the wines off the bill? I said of course that was the special you offered and the server did not explain the details and said it was okay for the wines. He then disrespects me by saying in front of my girlfriend “you probably need it more I don’t know why you come here, so I will take it off” words of the restaurant manager! I was in shock he said this to us, I said so your disrespectful and calling me broke? Okay now we have a major problem. He took off the glass from the bill, I paid and still tipped, going to make sure this review goes noticed. For you to disrespect a customer is unnecessary and unacceptable. I work in the hospitality business and this was something I will tell everyone about. Will never return to this location and will inform every one on social media about this experience. The manager was wearing a red button up shirt with a little vest. Do not go to this location unless you want to feel belittled, threatened and scammed by the manager. I will like to file a report on this managers conduct and speak directly with the owner. I will post this review on every platform. This was an...
Read moreNormally I don’t give less than a 3 star review unless its warranted. I went here (with one other person) on a Friday evening around 7:30pm. Was able to get a high top at in the Bar area without waiting. First of all, we were seated at a table that was dirty and the hostess “cleaned” the table while we were sitting there (5 small squirts from the cleaning bottle and a wipe down of the obvious dirty areas). Shortly after someone else came and brought the warm dinner rolls and diced tomatoes. This was actually my favorite part of the whole experience…sad to say. Later, someone else came and took our drink order and we were able to order our meal at the same time. We ordered a carafe of Red Sangria which was average, this too was brought over by a different person. At this time, I’m not even sure who my server is. My friend got the INSALATA DI PERE E FORMAGGIO – This was also an average salad and nothing to write home about. I ordered the ETTUCCINE AI FRUTTI DI MARE in the lobster sauce – the Calamari was over cooked, the sauce had zero flavor, I even tried to add salt and it still did not improve the flavor. On a side note, the person who brought our food was yet again someone else. We tried to flag someone down to bring us a side of red sauce that had a little spice but instead we got red pepper flakes (again by someone else) After about 15 or so minutes, someone finally stopped over to see how things were and our reply was OK, then they quickly left. After finishing our food, we staked the plates and put them toward the end of the table. It took about 10 minutes for someone to remove the dirty dishes (again, someone new that we haven’t seen). After about 15 minutes of sipping our Sangria waiting for someone to ask if we wanted dessert, more drinks or our check we had to, once again, track someone down and ask for our check. 10 more minutes go by and we still have no check. We then track down someone else and ask for our check. Finally, someone brought our check and we were able to pay and leave. For an “upscale” restaurant and the amount of money we paid, this was one of the most terrible experiences I’ve had. I have a timeshare in the area and will probably...
Read moreI went to this restaurant yesterday with my fiancé. We saw all the great reviews so we decided to try it out. We live here on Miami Beach so we always love to try something new near us. We got to the restaurant and waited about 5 minutes for the hostess to come over and seat us. It was an average busy Sunday. The hostess kept walking by us before even talking to us or to tell us just to wait for her. When she came over to us she let us know that our food would come 30 minutes after we would order it because there was a party going on so the kitchen was backed up. At this point we are standing in the middle of everyone coming in and out of the restaurant. She asked us if we were sure if we wanted to stay and eat there... coming from a customer service background I felt like she was extremely unprofessional while talking to us. We said we didn’t mind just ordering an appetizer and a drink while we wait but she said that we couldn’t even get an appetizer until 30 minutes after we ordered it. I understand the restaurant was busy but the way she handle it was uncomfortable and made it seem like our business wasn’t needed. Instead we went to the Mexican restaurant next door. The food and margaritas were awesome. Luckily there was a restaurant next door that we could easily walk to. I love Italian food and it’s been hard to find really authentic Italian food in Miami Beach but I’m not sure if I could ever bring myself to go back to this restaurant after our 10...
