Wet Willie's — Restaurant in Miami Beach

I’ve been to Wet Willie’s a few times and each time has not impressed. This is the first time I ordered food and the only reason I gave two stars is for the taste of the drink and the Cole slaw. The food was not quality. Chicken tenders were small only 4 and burned. Who is running the kitchen? You all knew better than to send those tenders out like that. Let’s chat about the prices a small 12oz drink was $15 and I barely felt anything it tasted great because it’s full of sugar but weak. $16.75 for 4 tenders and a small side of Fries. I knew I should have went to Raising Canes but Willie’s is closer. How I ended up spending $37.84 for 4 small burned tenders and a tiny sugar water I’ll never know. It’s giving very much tourist trap vibes. They also charge automatic gratuity of 15% as well. My server was very attentive and was nice but I don’t think the tips need to be automatic. I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again. Just because most other places do this automatic gratuity doesn’t mean you have to do it too. Just makes you lower quality like everyone else. Likely won’t be back here again for any reason due to poor quality of food and drinks. I can see clearly why they are not full or busy most...

Good food. Owners are great. Wait staff is a hit or miss. Mostly good but last night not so much. My group came after the rush so I guess my waiter felt that he didn't need to work anymore. He passed by our table 3 times without acknowledging the table, then when we asked another waiter who had our table he pointed at the same guy who was passing us by. We had to clean our own tables, ok cool. Finally get a waiter, apps come no plates or utensils. Asked the busboy for the plates we get 2 and it's 5 of us. Ask the busboy for another drink because at the original point of order one person was undecided, he said the waiter has to put the order in.... well go tell the waiter. Any who we decided that our money was better spent somewhere else so when the bill came I requested the manager/owner and he was GREAT. Which is why I am not changing my original review. I been to wet willies in Jersey in south Carolina and in Miami. This is my go to spot when I come. Not going to stop because off one bad service. But waitstaff needs to know not everyone who comes to wet willies will accept subpar service. Wanted to go back today but the service turned me off. Maybe by the time of my next trip their will be new...

Visited Miami for my husband's birthday. We came to Wet Willie's on the first night after our group arrived and already had some drinks at our air bnb. I had been drinking dark all night and didn't want to mix and get sick so the bartender recommended the first drink on the menu which tasted like an orange popsicle- I wasn't a huge fan of it but drank it anyway. I tried my friend's drink which was much better than mine. I wish I had been drinking light because I definitely would've gotten a different drink. We ordered chicken tenders and fries which was good (kinda hard to mess that up). The service was slow but we were just hanging out and not in a rush so we didn't mind. I used the bathroom right before leaving and it was in desperate need of a cleaning. It also didn't lock so my friend stood outside of the bathroom to make sure nobody walked in on me. It's a cool laid back vibe with a nice view of the strip. Overall decent chill after hours place but if you have high expectations...
