The best new restaurant in Brickell in my opinion. The atmosphere is so cool right when you pull up in your car. The building looks like a mini castle with walk ways, garden seating and impressive landscaping throughout. The color green shines throughout the entire inside of the restaurant- from the super cool and trendy bar to the glass atrium dining room that has green frames around the glass and a green chandelier. The food is tremendous and the service was well done. Started with the coconut snapper ceviche, freshly made guacamole, and truffle wagyu tostada. Surprisingly, each were super light and flavorful. The guacamole and ceviche was so fresh. The wagyu was rich and flavorful and the tostada gave a great crunch and texture to each bite. For entrees we got the lamb chops (must have), the ribeye and the sea bass. The lamb chops were the best piece of meat I’ve had in 2024. The juiciness, the flavor, the fat was just right, the temperature was just right, and the way that it was prepared was unlike any lamb chops I’ve had before. It came with fresh cilantro and a rich sauce which was flavorful and refreshing. The ribeye came sliced with pineapple in between which was a nice change of pace to a typical steak, especially when adding adobo sauce on it. The sea bass was just okay, not sure if it was because we had such flavorful meats along with it. We ended the dinner with their homemade vanilla ice cream and churros paired with caramel and chocolate dipping sauce. Again, the churros were so light and airy but was so flavorful. I preferred the caramel sauce but the combination of the creamy vanilla icecream was a must. This restaurant is a must if you have not been here.

The venue is unique, being the setting of a house turned into a restaurant. Service is filled with smiles & friendly instead of stuffy. Started off with cocktails in the upper level where the decor is that of a living area, cozy library setting decorated with flowers and liquor bottles, with windows looking out to the city. When the table was ready we were ushered to the downstairs to begin the experience. Our server was extremely well versed in her knowledge of the menu, knew exactly how to command the order for a large group and guided us in the right direction having settled our preferences. All family style sharing began with a beautiful & delicate guacamole as our first great flavors impression. Tuna and lobster tostadas followed by very delicious and unusually flavored Octopus with mint which were outstanding, satisfying crispy calamari, a specialty Caesar Salad sure to impress salad lovers, beautifully presented large tacos in a lovely embroidered fabric to wrap delicious fried fish and tomahawk steak marinated with incredible spices and sheets of pineapple. House made Sauces were served in a large circular platter ranging from mild to hot. And at the very end, came the dessert being a version of a crème caramel type of offering but the most impressive, the freshly made churros that will have you savor them for as long as you have memory. Excellent experience. Highly recommended.

I truly hate leaving bad reviews, though, I feel it’s my duty when I pay for a bad experience, especially at a place with this much unnecessary hype. I’ll start with the positives which is that the place is stunning. The building is iconic and they’ve done a nice job restoring it, as far as I got to see. There was an upstairs I didn’t get a chance to visit, but that’s okay. The second good thing I’ll say is that the guacamole in the lounge was fantastic. Like, truly amazing. I’m a huge fan of guac and you won’t believe how many places, yes, even Mexican ones, don’t do a good job with that very simple dish. The cocktails were also great. So overall, the night started out fine. When we finally got seated in the dining room, the place was packed and buzzing. Kinda reminded me of an elevated cafeteria with tables very close to one another, and lots of them. I get it. You’re trying to squeeze in as many people as possible, but typically, that impacts service, which it did, plus, it got pretty loud. The acoustics weren’t the best in either of the rooms. That takes away from the illusion of a ‘fine dining’ experience. This place is sort of reminiscent of what Sexy Fish and Gekko use to be. If you’ve gone to either in the past when they opened, you know what I’m talking about. Lots of buzz at the beginning, but unfortunately, that and all else falls short after a while. If changes aren’t made, I can see this happening to ZZ’s soon enough. Yes, I can tell this early on. Sadly, their main food from their very large menu was not that great. The corn appetizer was decent, and the raw fish dish was okay. All else fell short, including the branzino. The dessert at the end was just okay. Onto the service…it started out great and then others started assisting and they didn’t know what was going on, if things got ordered, etc. Lack of communication didn’t help. It’s a shame that hey add the tip on the bill automatically, but honestly, paying for bad service, even in Miami, is quite standard these days, and they always hope to get something on top of that, lol. The last thing they did, which I disliked the most, was that they added bottled Panna water to the bill which we did NOT ask for. Three of them, in fact. I told a server who was merely standing nearby and he said what we were drinking was bottled Panna, which was BS. I never once saw a bottle of Panna, much less, 3 of them! The right thing to do was to take it off the bill, which of course, he did not. He didn’t even care for what I was saying. The bill came out to just over $600 and only 3 of us truly ate, the 4th person only had 2 drinks and a dessert. Flavors and service just isn’t there to justify this price, and I certainly hate being lied to. There are plenty of good options in Miami where paying that amount, or even more, is worth it. This just isn’t one of them. You can people watch elsewhere for far less, eat much better food and get good service. I’d rather support those other businesses.

1/5 - Overpriced, Elitist, and Unbelievably Disappointing I never write negative reviews(in fact if you see my review history I only leave 5 star reviews, and this is my first 1 start), but this disaster couldn't be ignored. We dropped $431 for two people, and the service was a complete joke. It felt like we were at a fast-food chain instead of what was supposed to be an upscale dining experience. Our waiter, Bashir, greeted us with a casual “okay, what do you want” as if we were ordering at a drive-thru. No explanation of the menu, no flexibility with any adjustments we politely requested—just straight-up dismissive. To make matters worse, I expressed my frustration to a higher-up that I literally ran into in the bathroom. Guess what? Absolutely nothing was done. They didn’t care. This restaurant charges top dollar but offers zero service. It’s the definition of elitist and overpriced, and the bad reviews you see are absolutely true. Sure, Nema was great, but even she couldn’t make up for the overall disaster of this experience. And here’s the kicker: the menu clearly states a mandatory 20% gratuity is automatically added, so we were forced to pay for Bashir’s awful attitude and poor service. No way out. Honestly, this place is your typical Miami rip-off, riding on the back of an expensive location with no substance behind it. If you’re not a "member," they treat you like you're invisible. I watched Bashir give much better service to the tables around us, while we were left with indifference. Yes, the food was good, but I don't go to a restaurant just for the food—I can cook great meals at home. I go for the experience, and this one left me deeply disappointed. Do yourself a favor: avoid this place like the plague unless you want to throw away hundreds for nothing more than a frustrating, overpriced evening. Never going back. Take this as a warning.

Disgusted! Keep reading. I have mixed feelings on the scene-y, clubstaurants, but I’m a designer and really wanted to see Ken Fulk’s work. The food was ( per usual ) very pricey and good-but-not-great. The atmosphere and people watching were great. You expect the upsell. Here it’s aggressive, but customers still need to feel value, not robbed. Eg, don’t charge for water when not specifically ordered. We avoided that but couldn’t avoid other tactics. Here’s what happened. The menu is brief, lacking description. Despite reviews saying otherwise, the portions are not always small. The protein entrées come with a tray of sauces and tortillas, making them more substantial. We asked questions. Server had a heavy accent. It was loud and hard to hear. We over ordered. Server gave no warning. Instead, we were asked if we wanted more - to add a fourth shrimp to our (simple, grilled) three jumbo shrimp entrée - making it easier to share. We accepted. Shockingly, when the bill arrived the ONE extra shrimp was, are you sitting….. $30! A clear and disgusting money grab. 90% of people would assume the price for one would be related to the price for three. Something positive to say? Don’t skip the churros. We won’t return. The level of greed and arrogance of the owners is appalling. Don’t treat your customers like fools. Crowds will dissipate eventually, looking to the next hot spot.

The restaurant is situated in a charming house on a corner, surrounded by beautiful trees and plants. The decor is stunning, creating an atmosphere that feels both elegant and tropical, making you forget you’re in Miami. The food is delightful, with standout dishes including the guacamole, salad, and ceviche. However, the appetizer portions are quite small. The steak with pineapple was enjoyable, while the branzino was exceptional. The only elements that truly represented Mexican cuisine were the tortillas and sauces. Desserts were overly sweet; we tried the churros, ice cream tacos, and dark chocolate cake, all of which were rather average. The service was unremarkable, as our waiter seemed hurried to clear our table, which felt disrespectful given the substantial bill. We were also invited to join a private club upstairs, which has an annual fee of $15,000. The bar is quite small, accommodating only eight chairs or less, and the terrace felt uninspiring. Overall, the experience was overrated, expensive, and the service mediocre, lacking authentic Mexican flair.
